Guangxi University has started receiving applications (Postgraduates) for Chinese Government Scholarship. To facilitate your application, please read carefully and well understand the following instructions.
Brief Introduction
Guangxi University, established in 1928, is a regional comprehensive university with the longest history and largest scale. Being the only National 211-Project Key Construction University in Guangxi and the co-administrative university by both the national Ministry of Education and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it has also been selected as a construction university within "First-class Discipline Project " and "National Plan to Promote the Comprehensive Strength of Midwest Colleges and Universities".
At present, 25 colleges in Guangxi University provides programs of 11 disciplines (philosophy, economics, law, liberal arts, education, sciences, engineering, agriculture, medicine, administration and art), including 11 post-doctoral research programs, 20 Ph.D. programs, 63 graduate programs and 67 undergraduate programs. There are 26,469 undergraduates, 13,071 master and doctoral students , and 63,743 students of continuing education . There are 3,424 faculty members among whom 1,945 are teachers...

- Language of Teaching
Courses for students obtaining Chinese Government Scholarship are generally taught in Chinese. All the Chinese-taught programs require at least HSK 4 certificate. For now only some of the doctoral programs can be taught in English, especially science and engineering. Students, unless their schools and supervisors provide courses taught in English, may choose to take one-year preparatory Chinese language courses before major study if they think their Chinese proficiency doesn't meet the needs for major study. Duration for scholarship could NOT be extended unless the students make written application upon unavoidable reasons.

Applicants have to submit application documents online before 31 January, 2023.
Format of the mail title should be "ame"
Application should be made by the requirements above, otherwise would be rejected immediately.
- Qualifications of Applicants
1. Applicants should be in good health and non-Chinese citizen with a 10-year experience of living, studying or working in the domiciliary country.
2. Applicants should respect and observe the laws and regulations in China.
3. Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for master studies shall have bachelor’s degree and should be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for Doctorate studies shall have master’s degree and should be under the age of 40.
4. Basic requirements for language proficiency
- Applicants for postgraduates programs (master and doctorate) taught in Chinese language should at least have past the HSK4 test before the application.
- Applicants for programs taught in English language shall at least have scored 6.0 in IELTS or 80 in TOEFL before the application.
- Content of Scholarship (actual information depend on relevant files issued by CSC)
1. Free charge of application fee, tuition and dorms on campus.

4. Students shall be responsible for their expenses of transportation.

Applicants can choose to study any major of any colleges or schools at Guangxi University except for languages other than Chinese language, eg., English, Japanese, etc.

- Approval and Notification
1. Guangxi University will review all the application materials and is authorized to make necessary adjustments on the applied majors and duration of study. The qualified applications will be forwarded to China Scholarship Council (CSC) who makes the final decision. The application will be regarded as invalid and will not be processed if the applicants are not qualified or the application materials are untrue, incomplete, or against the recruitment regulations.
2. Scholarship applicants accepted by Guangxi University will be officially awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship with endorsement from CSC and submitted to Ministry of Education of China( MOEC) for the record.
4. Students are not allowed to change their majors, or the duration of study specified in the Admission Notice after registration.
5. The result of application will be announced around late July. Applicants will be informed by our emails. The awardees of scholarship will be given Admission Notice and visa application form (JW 201 form). Therefore, please make sure to provide the correct postal and contact information.
