Notification on Adjusting Visa Application Procedures for Zambian Students to China

In order to resume personnel exchanges between China and Zambia in an orderly manner and further promote the return of Zambian students to China, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia will adjust and optimize the visa application procedures for international students from August 22, 2022, as follows:

Zambian students who wish to study or resume the study in China, need to contact the respective universities or colleges first. After getting the Form JW201 or JW202, Letter of Admission (for freshmen), or Letter of Approval for Return (for already enrolled students) issued by the schools, the students can apply for X1 visas. The Family members of the students can apply for S visas with the family relationship certificate and other documents. The above-mentioned materials should be provided with both original version and at least one hard-copy respectively for the visa officer’s check and archiving.

All applicants should fill in the visa application form in the “China Online Visa Application”system , and then make an appointment in the “Appointment for Visa Application Submission”system to make an appointment. Applicants need to print and sign the online confirmation page, visa application form and online appointment voucher.

In addition, from 0:00 on August 24, 2022, the holders of valid APEC business travel cards and international students with valid residence permits for study can enter China.
