“You should strive for knowledge even as far as China” In fact this Arabic proverb, I have heard it since my childhood, but didn’t pay attention, but in the end it helped me, to find my key mission - to study abroad, to study in China.
I came to China in 2018, and the first couple of months in China made me realize the impact of digitalization on people's lives when the cashier at a convenience shop frowned at me, "Alipay or WeChat?", yet I stared awkwardly at the cashier for few seconds before I realized, what she meant. I fumbled around my pockets for my phone and was too embarrassed to collect the receipt afterward. And within two years, I did not know I would become a part of this rapid change in digitalization.
In 2019, I got an opportunity to study at Hangzhou Normal University, Alibaba Business School where I gained knowledge and a deeper understanding of “Everything”, and understood better about myself to drive positive changes. As a student at Alibaba Business School, I was surprised by the entire infrastructure of my school and the city of Hangzhou, which opens huge opportunities. As well the faculty members at Hangzhou Normal University were not just teachers; they were mentors who guided me toward exploring my passions and honing my skills. Their dedication to education and their expertise in their respective fields inspired me to push my boundaries and strive for excellence. They not only impart knowledge but also instilled in me a sense of curiosity and a thirst for continuous learning.
Studying in China exposed me to a rich cultural heritage and a society that seamlessly blends tradition with innovation. I had the privilege of immersing myself in Chinese customs, language, and history, which broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for diversity. It was fascinating to witness the fast-paced development and technological advancements that China has achieved, and I felt fortunate to be part of this transformative era.
In conclusion,I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Hangzhou Normal University for providing me with a remarkable education and an unforgettable experience. The knowledge and skills I have acquired during my time here will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors.
