01 My University Life: A Blend of Happiness, Responsibility & Hard-working
Huazhong University of Science and Technology is one of the most prestigious as well as the most selective medical universities in China. The university is also extremely well-known for its advanced teaching methodologies along with very sophisticated hospitals for the internship. I have decided to apply to this university as another step of my growth, leaving my home for the first time and opening a new chapter in my life. Although I did not know what would happen in the future, I believed it would be worth it.
Arriving at the campus was excited by seeing numerous of Chinese and foreign students, along the path are filled with trees and shady gardens, and a fully-functional sports facility. The school buildings are big and beyond beautiful, and some buildings have an historical vibe to it. The shuttle buses are provided for on-campus transportation. Off campus, there are shopping malls and Wuhan Metros. These facilities, both on and off campus, have made my university life more convenient. One of my most favorite corners is the library. The silence of the library is both inviting and comforting for various reasons.
Near the dormitory, there are banks, post offices, supermarkets, beauty salons, mini-marts, restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. The dormitory is so convenient and not far from the school building. As an international student, I joined the Win-Win program, is the Language and Cultural Exchange Program, helped me to communicate and to make Chinese friends. He taught me to realize about Chinese people's attitudes, traditions, and foods. He taught me how to make the Traditional Chinese Dumplings for Lunar New Year. He took me to get acquainted with the canteen, is very large and could accommodate many students at a time.
At the expense of favorable surroundings, students can enjoy their studies comfortably in cool air-conditioned and brightly illuminated rooms, well-equipped with high caliber projectors. The university laboratory excited my interest, and I got eager to perform experiments there. Attending lectures, I found that the professors do not rebuke the students if they fail to learn their lessons. They simply tell the students to be conscious of their responsibilities. Each subject is taught by a specialized teacher. Most of the professors in my faculty are highly experienced.
Studying for exams, sometimes I put too much pressure on myself without realizing it. My friend comforted me that we do not need to be intelligent, we just need to be hardworking. We knew that we would get through this together because where there is a will, there is a way. My university life is a blend of happiness, responsibility and hard-working. The university is not only standing for getting a higher education, but also a building guide to teach me how to live on my own and fend for myself.

Throughout these six years, I have learned many things here. I am grateful for the people who helped me in the journey to achieve my degree. To mom and dad, thank you for your unconditional selflessness, and your unwavering support to put me on the path to grow and succeed. I appreciated having family and friends who have always been there for me, and carried me through the hard times. You all are my most precious possession and priceless blessing in my life.
I am absolutely thrilled to have the bachelor's degree as the HUST 2022 Honorary International Graduate.
