Some safety tips for you to enjoy a safe and happy vacation

Dear International Students,

The summer vacation is coming. Hereby we provide some safety tips for you to keep in mind to enjoy a safe and happy vacation.



PROPERTY & FIRE SAFETY


Take care of your own belongings. Close the window, turn off the tap and cut off the power and gas whenever you leave the room to avoid the accidents such as a fire or a flood in the room.





RAINSTORM



Pay attention to the weather changing and follow the following instructions when there is a rainstorm.


1Keep away from the areas with accumulated water and do not rush forward, bypass the place with vortex and prevent from falling into puddles, drainage wells and power distribution wells that threaten life safety.
2Don’t stay under the trees or answer the phone if there are thunderstorms.
3Keep away from dilapidated houses, tall trees construction sites and advertising boards in strong wind.



TRAVEL



1. Don’t take unregistered taxis. Don’t share a taxi with strangers. Pay attention to the car numbers and ask for the receipts so that you can get your items back if you forget them in the taxi.


2. Don’t travel to undeveloped scenic spots where safety cannot be guaranteed.


3. Respect the customs and traditions of the local people where you are visiting.




DROWNING PREVENTION


1. Don’t swim in undeveloped water areas for personal safety.

2. Upon encountering drowning victims, do not attempt to rescue them yourself, call for help first and adopt appropriate rescuing procedures



FOOD SAFETY


In summer, it’s easier for the food to become putrid, please pay attention to food safety. Don’t eat in street stalls. Ordering meals online is not recommended either.



INTERNET FRAUD



1Don’t meet online friends or strangers.
2Don’t order items from unofficial website or individuals.
3Don’t believe that you are the lucky dog from strangers.



HEALTH


Summer is a season of highly infectious diseases. To prevent yourself from being infected, please maintain personal hygiene as well as the environmental hygiene which includes but not limits to cleaning your room frequently and ventilating your room every day.
