SWUFE International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship of 2024 Spring Semester is open now! Welcome your application!
Eligibility
a) Be non-Chinese citizens with valid passport;
b) Have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of SWUFE;
c) Be in good physical and mental health;
d) Be interested in Chinese language education and related work;
e) Be aged between 16 and 35 years on March 1, 2024. The maximum age limit for in-service Chinese teachers may be extended to 45.
Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance.
One-Semester Study Program
5 months, starts in March 2024. Applicants holding the X1/X2 visa category are not eligible.
For international Chinese language education, Chinese language and literature, Chinese history, or Chinese philosophy, a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required.
For traditional Chinese medicine or Taiji culture, HSK test scores are required , and priority will be given to those who also provide an HSKK test score.

Supporting Documents
a) A scanned copy of the passport photo page;
b) A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK/HSKK tests (within the two-year validity);
c) A reference letter by the Recommending Institution；
d) In-service Chinese language teachers shall provide proof of employment and a reference letter from the employer.
e) Applicants under 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China.
f)The physical examination; Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
*In-service Chinese language teachers may be exempted from HSK/HSKK certificates if they provide proof of employment and a letter of recommendation from the employer.
Applicants who have received the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificate during Chinese Bridge competitions may submit their application documents along with their scholarship certificates to SWUFE directly at the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website.
