Application Guide to Guizhou University 2024（Spring Semester）International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship for Taichi

Eligibility

All applicants shall be:

(1) Non-Chinese citizens;

(2) Should be friendly to China, have no criminal record, and abide by the laws andregulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the school:

(3) In good physical and mental conditions, and with a good record of academic performanceand conduct;

(4) Aspiring to work in the Chinese language education and related fields:(5) Aged between 16 and 35 (as of 1September, 2023) , with the special allowance for the ageimit of 45 for applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers.

Scholarship Coverage

(1) Free registration and tuition fees;

(2) Free on-campus dormitory accommodation (typically double rooms) ;(3) Comprehensive Medical Insurance & Protection Scheme;(4) CNY 2,500 monthly living allowance

Required application materials

(1) Digital photo;

(2) Scanned copy ofvalid passport photo page;

(3) Scanned copy ofHSK and HSKK result reports (valid for 2 years) ;

(4) Applicants with International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificatesfrom'Chinese Bridge” Competitions can submit the certificates as application documents;

(5) A reference letter by the head of the Recommending Institution. In-service Chineselanguage teachers shall provide proof of employment and a reference letter from the employer;

(6) Notarized certificate of the highest diploma (Prospective diploma winners must submitStudent Status Certificate by their current school) ;

(7) Scanned copy of personal signature:

(8) Resume ;

(9) Physical Examination Report

Note

(1) It is suggested that all the application documents be prepared under the guidance of your recommending institution;

(2) Please fill out the application form truthfully and confirm the information of thescholarship category, study duration, major and the host institution before your submitting online.

(3) The size of your digital photo or your scanned copy of personal signature must be lessthan 300KB, and the other scanned copies must be less than 2M. The format of all the uploadingfile must be“*. jpg/*. gif/*. bmp/*. jpeg”.

(4)After submitting the applications and uploading relevant supporting documents online.applicants should request their recommending institutions (e.g. Confucius Institutes) to approvetheir applications in the Scholarship System, and then the applications will be forwarded toGuizhou University and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) for furtherevaluations:

(5) Applicants and recommending institutions must apply for the proper major while assurethe corresponding HSK result report (including the HSKK result report) before submission.Applicants under 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrustedlegal guardians in China;

(6) The review and evaluation of the applications will take about 1 month.During the processapplicants should pay attention to the admission process, deliberation suggestions, and results inthe Scholarship System.
