About BJTU
Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, the Beijing Municipal People's Government and China National Railway Group Co., LTD. It is a national "211 Project", "985 Project Superior Discipline Innovation Platform" and "double first-class" construction university.
As one of the three origins of Jiaotong University, the history of Beijing Jiaotong University can be traced back to 1896, and its predecessor was the Railway Management Training Institute founded by the Qing Government. It is the first institution of higher learning in China specializing in training management talents, and the birthplace of railway management and telecommunication education in modern China. In 1917, it was reorganized as Railway Management School and Post and Telecommunications School, and in 1921, it merged with Shanghai Industrial Special School and Tangshan Industrial Special School to form Jiaotong University. After the reorganization of Jiaotong University in 1923, the school was renamed Beijing Jiaotong University. In 1952, the North Jiaotong University was abolished and the school was renamed Beijing Railway College. 1970 The name of "North Jiaotong University" was restored. In 2000, it merged with Beijing Electric Power College and was transferred to the direct management of the Ministry of Education by the Ministry of Railways. In 2003, Beijing Jiaotong University resumed its name. The school has trained a large number of outstanding talents, including Liu Han, founder of China's first radio station, Jin Shixuan, author of China's first railway transportation monograph, Xu Jing, founder of China's railway transportation economics, Yang Rumei, one of China's earliest Big Four accountants, and Zheng Zhenduo, a modern Chinese writer, literary critic and literary historian. Ying Shangcai, the designer of China's first high-horsepower steam engine, Xiang Zhejun, the Chinese prosecutor of the "Tokyo Trial", Ma Yinchu, a famous Chinese economist and demographer, all taught at the school.
The Ministry of Education of China will provide full scholarships or partial scholarships in accordance with the education cooperation and exchange agreements or memorandums concluded with relevant governments, institutions, schools or international organizations. Bilateral Program supports applicants of both degree programs and visiting program
Scholarship Coverage（Full Scholarship): Tuition fees, experimental expenses, basic internship expenses, on campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, stipends (CNY2,500/month for undergraduate students, CNY3,000/month for master's students and CNY3,500/month for doctoral students).The annual review is compulsory for all students. Those who pass the review may continue to enjoy the scholarship in the next year
Partial scholarship coverage will be a partial of the full scholarship.
Application Qualification:
① Non-Chinese citizens with ordinary foreign passports, physically and mentally healthy.
② Holding high school diploma and no more than 25years old when applying for the undergraduate programs; holding bachelor's degree and no more than 35 when applying for the master programs; holding master's degree and no more than 40 when applying for the doctoral programs
③ Language requirements: All applicants are requested to provide their language proficiency certificates for the scholarship applications. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide a valid Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate. Undergraduate or non-degree (general scholar & senior scholar) candidates should have achieved HSK Level III or above; Postgraduate candidates should have achieved HSK Level IV or above. Applicants for English-taught programs should provide valid English Proficiency Test (IELTS 6.0 or TOFEL 80) certificates.·
④ Not entitled to other Chinese government scholarships simultaneously.·
