About BFU
Established in 1952, Beijing Forestry University is a top-tier public university. It had its first enrollment of international students in 1952 and it was one of the first colleges in China to accept international students. Drawing on its solid foundation in biology and ecology, Beijing Forestry University prides itself, particularly on its distinctive disciplines such as forestry, landscape architecture, ecology and nature conservation, grass science, and agro-economic management. The University also stresses the balanced and coordinated development of programs in agriculture, science, engineering, management, economy, law, philosophy, education as well as arts.
BFU regards making ecological progresses as its mandated duty and the power house of its own development. In line with this thought, BFU is determined to make itself the pioneer of eco-civilization, the task force for green growth, as well as the leader of innovation in agricultural and forestry higher education. Furthermore, BFU has cultivated 200,000 distinguished scientists, technologists and managerial professionals, including 16 CAS and CAE academicians, who have emerged to make their contributions to China’s eco-civilization endeavors and forestry and grassland sector.
On top of that, BFU has taken initiatives in catering to the needs of the country’s opening-up policy through launching a series of foreign exchange and cooperative programs that are aimed to strengthen cross-border collaborations, expand students’ horizon, build up an internationally-oriented community, and to put in place some transnational platforms for science and technology inquiries. Up to the present, BFU has entered into collaborative agreements with over 190 universities and institutions in over 30 countries or regions for carrying out substantive cooperation in science and technology.

03 Eligibility
1) Non-Chinese citizens, and be in good health both mentally and physically2) Applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs; Applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;3) Applicants should have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese-taught master’s or doctoral programs; Applicants to the English-taught program are required to provide English language proficiency test result with a TOEFL score of 79 or above/ IELTS score of 6 or above. Applicants who are unable to provide language proficiency testing are required to provide proof of English language instruction for their previous degree studies.* Applicants from native English speaking countries are exempt from providing proof of English language proficiency as described above.PART

Step 1: Apply For Your Degree-program
1) Select your degree-program in BFU International Students Application System at bjfu.at0086.cn/student2) Submit your application materials online.Please notice: *Applicants with application intention for CGS high-level student scholarship shall select “CSC-CGS Type B: High-level Student Scholarship Application” in BFU application system.

2) Please notice:Applicants shall follow the instruction as below to execute your application process, please be careful with your choice for the correct Program Category “TYPE B” and accurate Agency Number for Beijing Forestry University “10022”.

Step 2: Submit Your CGS Scholarship Application Form
Fill out your CGS application number and upload your application form in BFU International Students Application System bjfu.at0086.cn/student.

Step 3:Complete Your Degree Program Application Fee
Check your application status in the BFU system in time. After the first round of document review, application fee is required to be paid. Only those who complete the fee payment will be proceeded to academic review.

Step 4: Wait to Hear from Us
BFU will issue Pre-admission Letter or Conditional Offer of Admission to students who pass the academic review. Beijing Forestry University selects scholarship candidates from pre-admitted students. The type of scholarship and coverage are subject to the final admission notice.
