Jiangsu University Increase 5 Bachelor Programs for 2023 Spring Intake

Founded in 1902, Jiangsu University (JSU) is a national comprehensive key university under the joint support of China’s Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Jiangsu Provincial Government. JSU is located in Zhenjiang, a well-known, beautiful, and historic city on the south bank of the Yangtze River.

According to the latest ESI Ranking, JSU improved its ranking from 65th in 2016 to 45th in 2022 among China’s Universities. In the World University Ranking of Timers Higher Education (2022), JSU comes out 40th out of all universities in China, and Top 700 in the world. In the QS Asian University Ranking (2023), JSU is ranked 182nd in Asia.

Jiangsu University offers 18 bachelor’s programs, 50 master’s programs and 23 doctoral programs in English medium. The program duration is 4-year for bachelor’s program (6-year for MBBS), 3-year for master’s programs (2-year for MBA and Master Program in Law), 4-year for doctoral programs. Eligibility

(1) Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. (Nationality requirements of the regulations set in the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC must be met);

(2) Good health condition, in accordance with the Health Standard for International Students stipulated by the Ministry of Education, China;

(3) Good moral character and discipline towards the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the university;

(4) Good academic records and consistent academic background;

(5) Language proficiency requirements: TOEFL: 80; IELTS: 6.0; Duolingo: 95 or equivalent.

(1) Admission Schedule:

November 12th, 2022 - January 8th, 2023

Due to the limited seats for admission, early application is strongly recommended.

(2) Application Documents:

# Passport photo;

# Passport and visa (only those who are in China need to provide valid resident permit or visa page).

# Diploma/Certificate:

- Senior high school diploma or its notarized Chinese or English translation if it is in another language (for bachelor’s degree program applicants)

- Degree certificate from the undergraduate program onwards or its notarized Chinese or English translation if it is in another language (for master’s degree and doctoral degree program applicants)

*Applicant who has not got the degree certificate when applying shall provide the pre-graduation certificate first, then provide the academic degree certificates no later than registration.

# Academic transcript:

- High school academic transcripts or its notarized Chinese or English translation if it is in another language, or international standardization test results, such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB etc. (bachelor’s degree program applicants only)

- Academic transcript from the undergraduate program onwards or its notarized Chinese or English translation if it is in another language (master’s degree and doctoral degree program applicants only)

# Family financial statement:

- CNY40,000 deposit in bank or equivalent (for bachelor’s degree program applicants)

- CNY20,000 deposit in bank or equivalent (for master’s degree and doctoral degree program applicants)

# Research proposal(for master’s degree and doctoral degree program applicants only)

# Recommendation letters from TWO professors or associate professors (for master’s degree and doctoral degree program applicants only)

# Non-criminal Record Certificate (issued within 6 months)

# Foreigner Physical Examination Form (issued within 6 months)

# Other Attachment: JSU Presidential Scholarship Application Form, award certificate, academic CV, etc.

Fees

Registration Fee: CNY 400 (includied in the seat reservation fee)

Seat Reservation Fee will be informed on Admission Notice based on different applicant’s programs

Accommodation Fee: CNY 4500-4900/year or CNY 40/day

Insurance Fee: CNY 600/year paid to insurance company

Physical Examination Fee, Resident Permit Application Fee shall be paid to relevant bureaus at the official rates.

*Application Fee, Registration Fee and Seat Reservation Fee are NOT refundable once paid.
