Notice on Applying for 2023-2024 Chang’an University Xi'an Municipal Five Central Asian Countries Scholarship

I. Applicant Eligibility

1. Applicants must be citizens from 5 Central Asian states, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and have valid foreigner’s passport. Being friendly to China and being in good health is also of great importance.

2. Good conduct, law-abiding, diligent and studious, with no illegal or criminal record in their country.

3. Applicants should have a diploma equivalent to senior high school in China with an age under 25. A recommendation letter from current school is also needed.

4. After completing the preparatory course of Chinese language, applicants must have HSK 4  score of more than 180.

II. Scholarship Content

1. Exempt from paying registration fee, tuition fee, hostel fee, insurance fee, residence permit fee, physical examination fee, textbook fee.

2. International travel cost is supported.

3. Living stipend: ￥18000/year

IV .Application Procedure

Materials required:

(1) Copy of Valid Ordinary Passport;

If the applicant is in China, a copy of a valid residence permit is also required.

(2) The highest degree certificate;

(3) Transcripts;

(4) "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners";

Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Physical Examination Records for Foreigners" and fill them out in Chinese or English. The “Physical Examination Record for Foreigners” that is missing pages, not affixed with a photo or without a seam seal on it, or without a signature or seal from hospital or physician is invalid. Whereas the inspection results are valid in six months, applicants are requested to determine the time of their medical examination accordingly.

(5) The original copy of the non-criminal record and the Chinese translation；

When submitting the application, the validity period of the non-criminal record certificate must be valid in three months or more; if the applicant is already in China, who must provide certificate of school performance.

(6) Proof of COVID-19 vaccination;

Students applying for entry must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine of at least two doses and its Chinese translation.

(7) Recommendation letter in English from your current school (with the official seal);

(8) Study Plan in China;

(9) Other certificates of achievements.
