Chongqing Medical University Survey

Chongqing Medical University (CQMU), one of the key medical universities in the southwest of China, was founded in 1956. It is also one of the 25 medical universities in China which are qualified to enroll foreign students to learn medicine in English. The university has four affiliated hospitals which are directly under its administration, five affiliated hospitals which are indirectly under its administration, 21 teaching and clinical practicing hospitals, 11 colleges: The College of Basic Medical Sciences, The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, The College of Management, The College of Public Health, The College of Pharmacology, The Clinical College, The Second Clinical College, The Pediatric College, The College of Stomatology, The College of Nursing and Graduate School, and 9 Departments: Biomedical Engineering, Anesthesiology, Medical Imageology, Laboratory Medicine, Social Sciences, Foreign Language, Physical Education，Library & Information and Public Administration . Since 1980, hundreds of students from all over the world have been studying in the university.

There are altogether 21248 students in the university, among which, 346 are doctorate students, 1963 are postgraduates, 18629 are undergraduates and three-year students, and 514 are foreign students.
