Founded in 1956, Chongqing Medical University is one of more than 30 medical universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China to enroll foreign students to study MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) in English. The school has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American ECFMG (Foreign Medical Graduates Education Committee).
