Summer Short-Term Chinese Language Class

Course Introduction The history of international students' Chinese language education is from the 1980's at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Today, the Chinese language center offers non-native speakers of Chinese a unique program in which they can learn not only the Chinese language, but also Chinese unique customs and culture. The program offers a wide range of courses levels and subjects, so it is easy for students to find a program fits their needs. It is important for students to attain the high level of Chinese proficiency required for research and academic activities in the future.

The University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) was founded in 1952 following the amalgamation of the best departments in related fields of five eminent universities as a result of a nationwide reorganization of the higher education system. Over half a century of remarkable growth, it has developed into one of the most influential key national universities sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Undergraduate Program

Undergraduate students are mandatory to live in campus in first year. Rooms shared by two to four persons are provided, costing 25-50yuan /day per person (approx US$3.8-7.7/day per person).
 
Master's Program

Rooms shared by two to four persons are provided, costing 25-50yuan /day per person (approx US$3.8-7.7/day per person).
 
Chinese Language Program

Two students will share a standard room with separate toilet and bathroom, 50 yuan per day per person.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1.Applicants must be age of 18 to 55 years old and above
2.Applicants must be in good health
3.High school graduate or equivalent or above

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Certificate/Diploma of highest education
The certificate should be in English or Chinese, if not，it should be translated into English or Chinese and be notarized
