Located Beijing and founded in 1941, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is a key university directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China. It is the first institution specializing in foreign language studies. Among the more than 7,000 registered BFSU students, there are approximately 1,000 international students. To date, BFSU has established extensive academic partnerships with 320 universities and educational institutions in 65 countries and regions of the world. ProgramAbout the Program

Why choose to study this program? International Finance is the branch of economics that studies the dynamics of exchange rates, foreign investment, and how these affect international trade. It also studies international projects, international investments and capital flows, and trade deficits. It includes the study of futures, options and currency swaps. All courses instruction and discussions of contemporary business issues are done in English, drawing on the vast knowledge and experience of our international faculty. You will acquire business knowledge and intercultural skills, which are highly sought after in a range of international institutions. Main Courses Financial Markets and Institutions; International Investment Analysis; M&A and Investment Banking; Commercial Banking; Private Equity and Venture Capital; Financial Reporting and Analysis Program Objectives The programs emphasize personal development and the acquisition of business skills to: a. ensure that each student is challenged individually to attain the highest standards of personal excellence; b. introduce students to some basic humanities and social science courses that help them expand their perspective, and become responsible members of civil society; c. ensure that students learn to question assumptions and come up with creative and meaningful solutions; d. enhance learning by hands-on projects and teamwork.

Internship and Career Development Students will have the opportunities to be engaged in industrial collaborative projects, visits to companies, interview techniques, resume instructions and review, and career consultation. Graduate careers within the general domain of English and finance include administrative, managerial, accounting and consultancy positions within international organisations. You may also be able to pursue a career as a professional translator or interpreter. Additionally, the course provides a foundation for further graduate level study in the subjects of English language and finance.

Accommodation

BFSU-Sol Bridge students enjoy the convenience of dormitories located on and nearby Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, a short walk away form classrooms and cafeterias. Our recently renovated dormitories are comfortable and clean. Students have the option of choosing among different styles and designs in accommodation and whether or not they prefer to share a room.



On-Campus Accommodation


Four dormitory buildings, located on the Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, are allocated for international students. They are the Guojiao Building on the east campus, the White Building, Building 6 and Building 7 on the west campus. All the rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, television set, telephone, desk and chair, bed and bedding. High-speed Internet Facilities and services are available in dormitory rooms and are provided at a nominal charge.

Off-Campus Accommodation

The off-campus dormitory is located a 15 minute walk from the BFSU-SolBridge campus. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, heater, telephone, Internet access, a balcony, bed and bedding, desk and chair. The dormitory complex also houses a cafeteria, convenience store and a bank. Transportation is very convenient and a bus to campus, or elsewhere, stops right outside the dormitory gates.

Entry Requirements

1. Completed recognized upper secondary or equivalent Year 12 studies to the required standard


2. Satisfied English language requirements. Undergraduate applicants who provide TOEFL scores of at least 79 Internet-based (IBT) or an IELTS overall band score of at least 6.0 or TOEIC scores of 750 will be considered for regular admission.


3. Above 18 years old

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.Graduation certificate of high school

Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.
