Master of Finance

This is a two-year full-time Master program taught in English. The prestigious faculty, internationally taught courses and innovative lab-based teaching method are to cultivate financial professionals who are not only versed in modern financial theory, sophisticated quantitative tools and practical knowledge of the financial industry but also competent in the role of management in a financial institute.

Who should apply?

Candidates for SAIF’s Master in Finance program must have a strong analytical background. The course-work introduces to students the necessary skill sets of a financial professional. Upon the completion of the program, the students will have a good understanding of the theories and quantitative methods of modern finance, and how they are applied to real business situations.

Duration The progra

m is two years in total. Upon completion of all coursework and the thesis, students will be conferred by Shanghai Jiao Tong University a Master degree certificate and a graduation diploma. Those students who finish the program requirements in less than two years are eligible for consideration of early graduation.

Fees

The tuition for an international student of 2012’s entering class is US$20,000 (approximately RMB 128,000), payable in two installments. Each payment has to be made at the beginning of each academic year. The tuition includes the user fees for all SJTU's facilities during the entire two-year program. However, it does not cover living costs. Medical insurance is available at additional cost.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1.Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.
If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

5.Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.photocopy of awards certificate
If applicable

7.Study plan
Including study purpose, research interest and research plan in brief.

8.English proficiency test certificate
For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.
