Regulations for Scholarship (Temporary)
In order to encourage students abroad to finish school , honor the excellent students abroad and set a good example ， Liaoning Medical University sets up Scholarship for students abroad ．
I The Basic Qualification of the Candidate
1 ． Observe Chinese Law and the scholastic by law ．
2 ． Love Liaoning Medical University and own major, and have the clear study objective ， a proper attitude and excellent achievement ．
3 ． Actively take part in the activities of social practice ， science ， and culture and sport ， organized by Liaoning Medical University ．
4 ． Polite behavior, and regard teachers and staff ， treasure public property, comity and concern collectivity ．
5 ． The examination achievement of every major course is over 70 score (include 70) without exception ， and the examination of secondary course is “pass” or above ．
6 ． Students will be assessed on one unit of their grade ．
7 ． Students ， who strive to study Chinese and overpass the third level of risk ， have the priority ．
The Quota proportion of Holder of a Grant ：
The holder of a grant number cannot exceed 1 5 ％ of the total students ．
The quota of the first rank scholarship ： 1
The quota of the second rank scholarship ： 2
The quota of the third rank scholarship ： 3-5
The quota of the superior award for medicine subject ： 2(the students whose one medicine subject scores must be the top two in the examination of each academic year and the medicine subject scores is over 80, include 80)
The quota of the superior award for Chinese study ： 2(the students abroad who overpass third level or above of risk and their scores come out top two)
II The Prize Standard of the Scholarship
1 ． The first-class scholarship ： RMB ￥ 4000 ． 00
2 ． The second — class scholarship ： RMB ￥ 2000 ． 00
3 ． The third — class scholarship ： RMB ￥ 1000 ． 00
4 ． The superior award for medicine subject ： RMB ￥ 300 ． 00
5 ． The superior award for Chinese study ： RMB ￥ 500 ． 00
III The Detailed Rules of Evaluation for the scholarship
i ． Students abroad of Liaoning Medical University with the basic qualification can be assessed ．
ii ． Students who are in among the following situations ， cannot apply for the scholarship in this year.
1 ． Absent from examination ， or supplementary examination ， or delay examination(without valid reason)in one subject in this academic year ．
2 ． Suspend their schooling and keep their personal files ．
3 ． The probationers in school
4 ． Students who are punished
5 ． Students who can not pay tuitions on time.
Students' behavior, achievement and the activities after school are assessed by the principle of justice ， publicity, and righteous ， and by the criterion of comprehensive quality ． The scholarship cannot be granted by turns or share alike ．
iii. The scholarship is assessed by behavior and achievement ； the criterion is a integrated grade ．
1 ． Integrated Grade
The totality score 100 is made up of score 30 for behavior and score 70 for achievement ．
Students ， whose total score is over 85 ， have the qualification to be assessed the first-class scholarship and have the opportunity to get the prize RMB~4000.00 ；
Students ， whose total score is over 80 ， have the qualification to be assessed the second-class scholarship and have the opportunity to get the prize RMB~2000 ． 00 ；
Students ， whose total score is over 75 ， have the qualification to be assessed the third-class scholarship and have the opportunity to get the prize RMB ￥ l 000 ． 00 ．
Note ：
In total score ， common student's achievement score must be over 52.5 ． Class leaders' must be over 49.(Converted achievement score for common student is 75 ， leader's is over score 70)
2 ． Calculation Methods
1) Behavior (score 30)
Usual behavior ： score 20(the basic score is 1 5 ， and the floating score is 5.0 ． )
Social service ： score 1 0(the basic score is 5 ． 0 ， and the floating score is 5.0 ． )
A ． The qualification to get the basic score: participate in various activities and social service actively, and observe the scholastic bylaw and student rules ．
B ． The qualification to get the floating score ：
a ． Dare to fight against badness behavior, and concern about the collectivity and schoolmates ， participate in various activities superiorly (clean classroom .etc) ：
add score0.5-1.0 ．
b ． Outstanding students(ready to help others for a just cause ， not pocket the money he or she picks up ， get pleasure by helping the others etc ． ) ： add score 1 ． 0 ～ 2 ． 0 ． Special deed's floating score has no limit ．
c ． The students who win the prize and come out top three in various competitions organized by our university ： add score 2 ． 0 ， score1 ． 5,score 1 ． 0 ．
d ． Add score 1-3 for the monitor or the outstanding students who concern about the collectivity and schoolmates ．
C ． The condition of the reduced score ：
a ． Absenteeism ： reduce score 0 ． 1 for once ． Reduce score 0.05 for late.
b ． Failure in the environment check-up or spot-check of whose
classroom or dorm ： reduce score 0 ． 1 for apiece ．
c ． Disobey the regulations of classroom ， dorm ， cafeteria and library ： reduce score 0 ． 1 for violating once ． Mistake as a result of irresponsible attitude ： once reduce score 0 ． 5 ．
2) The Education Achievement (score 70)
The education achievement consists of the examination courses stated on the teaching plan(including Chinese course) ， the average score of total examination course achievements multiplies 0 ． 7 ， the result will be put into total score ．
The score 98 or above of one examination course ： add score 1 ． 0 ． The score 98 or above of the two respective examination courses ： add score 2 ． 5 ．
3 ． Evaluation Methods
1) the International Education College is responsible for the evaluation. The important evidence comes from students' reflection.
2 ． Both the usual behavior and achievement are considered ． The total score excepts the excess over the perfect score of the usual behavior or achievement ．
3 ． Explanation
The scholarship and the superior award for medicine subject cannot be issued to one gainer at one time ， the superior award for medicine subject is issued to the second candidate of this subject in turn ． Two or more superior awards for medicine subjects can be issued to one gainer who doesn't win the scholarship ．
The International Education College holds the right to explain all the above regulations ．
