The scholarship is specially for sponsoring students from U.S.A. to study at SEU.

 

I.                  Categories of Scholarship

1.      Degree-student Scholarship

The scholarship is for newly-admitted full-time students with the nationality of U.S.A., who are degree students for postgraduate programs at SEU.

2.      Non-degree Student Scholarship for Exchange Students

The scholarship is for exchange students with the nationality of U.S.A., who will study at SEU for 3 months or above to achieve academic credits accepted by their home universities in U.S.A.

 

II.               Values of Scholarship

1.      Values of Degree-student Scholarship

●Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; and accommodation fee for dormitory on campus;

●Living allowance;(monthly allowance for master’s degree students is CNY1700; monthly allowance for doctor’s degree students is CNY2000)

●One-off settlement subsidy after registration;

●Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Program for International Students in China;

●One-off inter-city travel subsidy.

2.      Values for Non-degree Students Scholarship

Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; and accommodation fee for dormitory on campus;

 

III.           Application Procedure for Scholarship

●Alternative 1: Applicants may apply to the faculty of the schools where they want to study, submit the application document online by http://laihua.csc.edu.cn (Code of Southeast University is 10286) and then the faculty recommend the qualified applicants to College for International Students (CIS);

   Or ●Alternative 2: Applicants may apply directly to CIS.

       ●Deadline:

Application deadline for Degree-student Scholarship is June 25，2011;

        Application deadline for Non-degree Student Scholarship is September 15，2011.

For Degree-student Scholarship:

copy of passport, copy of highest degree certificate, Scholarship Application Form(http://cis.seu.edu.cn/s/48/t/103/14/0c/info5132.htm), 2 recommendation letters, a research plan no less than 800 words.

For Non-degree Student Scholarship:

          copy of passport, document proving the identity of being a current student at a university of U.S.A. and Scholarship Application Form(http://cis.seu.edu.cn/s/48/t/103/14/0c/info5132.htm),.
