1. Possess an ordinary passport of the countries jointly building the Belt and Road.
2. Be fridendly to China, and be physically and mentally healthy.
3. With good morals, comply with the laws and regulations, hardworking and studious, without any behavior of violating Chinese laws, regulations and school discipline rules.
4. Doctoral program applicants shall be under the age of 40. Master program applicants shall be under the age of 35. Bachelor program applicants shall be under the age of 30. Chinese Language Program applicants shall be under the age of 45 (The age is calculated as of September 1, 2025).
5. Not receiving any other scholarship.
1.1 A copy of Passport Home Page. If the validity of the applicant's current passport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport expires before September 2025), please apply for a new passport before submitting the application.
1.2 Notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma holder must submit official document issued by current school to prove current student status or expected graduation date.
1.3 Original academic transcripts from the previous study stage.
1.4 Research achievements. Published thesis, award certificates, etc. to prove academic capabilities.
1.5 A study plan or research proposal with more than 800 words.
1.6 Two recommendation letters signed by professor or associate professor.
1.7 Valid HSK certificate or English proficiency certificate.
1.8 Notarized certificate of Non-criminal Record issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
1.9 Foreigner Physical Examination Form issued within 6 months.
1.10 Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.
Note: The above materials should be in Chinese or English, and must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations if they are in other languages. Items 1.4-1.6 of the materials do not need to be provided for Chinese Language program applicants.
