International Economics and Trade

Located in Wuhan, a city renowned as "the Thoroughfare Leading to Nine Provinces", Wuhan University of Technology is a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education, covers an extensive range of disciplines. Of all, the English-medium degree programs, such as bachelor's degree program Industrial Engineering, master's degree programs Material Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering and MBA and doctoral degree program Economics have taken the lead, attracting an increasingly growing number of International students worldwide. All in all, WUT will be a good choice for International students to study in China!

Introduction

This project is undertaken by Shool of Economics of WUT. It has majors of Economics, Finance, International Economics and Trade as well as Electronic Commerce. It also has Research Bases like Institute of Science, Technology and Economics, Securities Research Institute, Advanced E-Commerce Institute, Institute of Finance Engineering, Institute of Environmental & Resource Economics and Institute of Transportation Economics. Most teachers have academic backgrounds in Europe and USA. It also regularly invites experts and scholars from famous foreign universities as well as CEOs from distinguished enterprises at home and abroad to give lectures. What’s more, students have been provided opportunities to have internship in notable companies and enterprises, to practice and join international conference. And all graduates of these majors will have bright futures for jobs.

Directions of Cultivation Advanced special personnel who can systematically grasp basic theories of Modern Economics and International Economics, being familiar with conventions and regulations of international trade and business, having basic skills in international trade and international trade transportation as well as fluent foreign language which offers possibilities for them to do the management and research work in the departments concerning foreign economics and trade, overseas-funded enterprises, international logistics enterprises and governmental agencies.

Bachelors' Degree for Class Formed Only by International Students are required to have as least 12 students in one program.

To turn out highly-qualified professionals armed with a sound basic knowledge of theories and expertise in international economy and trade, familiar with the latest developments in the field of international trade of the modern world, able to handle international business and economic cooperation, and qualified for careers in business, management, research, as well as publicity in economic and trade organizations. Main Courses International Trade Practice, International Trade, International Finance, International Investment, International Marketing, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, etc. Internship They will be able to handle international business and economic cooperation. Degree Awarded Bachelor’s Degree in Economics Future Career They will be qualified for careers in business, management, research, as well as publicity in economic and trade organizations.

Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT)

Aims to foster professional middle and advanced business administration talents with the expertise and ability of management, economics, law, corporate strategic planning, image design, production operation, logistics planning and supply chain management. The graduated students should be familiar with the characteristic of enterprise and market economy in China, competent to engage in planning and the operation and management work of enterprises, institutions and government departments, and able to independently engage in teaching and research activities. Besides, these talents are required to have innovation ability, practical ability, competitiveness, good communication, and strong affinity in order to adapt to the development of the market economy.
