Program Description

Introduction

The international MBA program focuses on the cultivation of student’s macro-administration and decision-making ability, leading talent and internationalized field of vision in order that the new opportunity and challenge from China’s and the world’s further development and might enhance the competitive power of enterprises. Graduates with professional degree and the familiarity with Chinese culture are highly sought after in international or multi-national enterprises.

The international MBA program will be mainly conducted in English. More than 30% of the modules will be instructed by highly quailed English-speaking lecturers, while other modules will be instructed by experienced SCUT professors. However, Chinese language and culture lessons will be also arranged during the first academic year of study with purposes that an international student studying in China will be expected to have basic command of the language ability and culture familiarity of the host country. From the second academic year, a few modules will be carefully conducted in both China and English (bilingually) after the students have been equipped with necessary language abilities.

Marketing management, Human resources management, Culture, ethics and leadership, Operation and logistics management, project management.

Elective courses (8 credits)

Management information system, Financial statement analysis, International business management, Corporate innovation management, Managerial accounting, Marketing research, Marketing channel management.

Degree awarded

The international MBA is a 2-year program which consists of four semesters. Students will be awarded a MBA degree if they fulfilled all requirements. Students are allowed to finish this program in a maximum of 4 years.

Entry Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above

2. 2 year of working experiences

3. English proficiency: applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit al IELTS 6.5. or take SCUT ‘s placement test.

Application Materials

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
6.0 or above for IELTS; 80 or above for TOEFL;or other certificates which can prove that the applicant is a native English speaker or English is his/her working language at college.

7.  Financial guarantee letter
Photocopy of the signatured financial guarantee letter from his/her financial guarantor to prove their solvency.

8.  Personal Statement
Personal Statement with the applicant's signature, written in Chinese or in English. You can download a template or sample from here.

9.A study plan
Including study purpose, research interest and research plan in brief.

10.Health certificate

Not needed during application. But may required when applying for visa
