Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship for Doctoral Degree Program in Liaoning University

Under the mandate of the Liaoning Provincial Government, Liaoning University is opening application for full-time doctoral degree studies under the 2010 Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship Program.

Scholarship scope and distribution
The Scholarship is aimed at assisting Doctorate students who apply for the studies at Liaoning University during that year.

Scholarship scope:
- Duration of study is 3 years;
- Duration of Scholarship is 3 years;
- Students are exempt from registration fees, tuition, laboratory fees, internship fees, basic study materials and accommodation costs;
- A living stipend is provided: 2,000 RMB/month;

Note:
The international travelling expenses are covered by the student.

Qualifications for scholarship application

1. Applicants must be foreign nationals in good health;
2. Applicants must comply with Chinese government laws and regulations as well as those of the university;
3. Applicants must have obtained a master's degree recognized by the Ministry of Education, People's Republic of China and not be older than 40;
4. Applicants should be graduates of internationally known universities with good score;
5. Applicants should have excellent grades and provide two professor recommendation letters;
6. Applicants should not be holding scholarship of any other category.

Application materials

1. Two copies of the Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form (One original and one photocopy);
2. A certified copy of the certificate for the highest education level attained and complete original or certified Master's transcripts. If the applicant is still in school or working, evidence of studies or current position should be provided. Non English or Chinese language documentation requires a certified English or Chinese language translation;
3. Transcripts of HSK;
4. A copy of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners.
5. Study Plan. The paper should given in Chinese or English with not less than 300 words.
6. Two recommendation letters from professor or associate professor, written in Chinese or English.

Note:

1. Scholarship recipients must report to the university for registration on the date stipulated by the university. Students who have not received permission and arrive late for this process will have their Scholarship status automatically cancelled.
2. Foreign Students who have received scholarships should participate in annual scholarship evaluation. Scholarship holders who fail to meet the requirements will have their scholarship cancelled.
3. Liaoning University retains the final right of interpretation of these detailed implementation regulations.
