1. Non-Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary foreign passports, aged between 18 and 45, in good health, with a proper character. They must meet the conditions for entering and leaving China, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and respect Chinese culture and customs.
2. Residents of the Chinese mainland (mainland), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who, after immigrating to a foreign country, apply as international students to China must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the last 4 years (as of April 30, 2025) (9 months of actual residence abroad can be counted as one year, based on the entry and exit stamps).
3. High school graduation or above.
4. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit the following scanned documents:
(1) Guardianship guarantee letter (the guardian must be an adult residing permanently in Shandong Province, China);
(2) Notarized power of attorney signed by the applicant's parents and the guardian;
(3) Guardian's ID card or passport.
5. Whether the applicant has Chinese nationality at the same time as having a foreign nationality is determined by the nationality determination conclusion of the Chinese public security exit and entry administration department. If it is determined that the applicant has Chinese nationality after applying, being admitted, and starting school, their application, admission qualification, or study qualification will be cancelled.
The applicant must ensure that the information and materials provided in the application are true and accurate. Once it is verified that they are not true, the applicant will be disqualified from the application, admission, or study.
1. Front page of a valid ordinary passport (valid until March 1, 2027 or later).
2. White background ID photo.
3. Proof of highest academic degree and corresponding academic transcripts for each study stage. For certificates in languages other than Chinese, a notarized Chinese or English translation must be provided. For current graduates, a pre-graduation certificate should be provided when applying, and the academic degree certificate should be submitted after admission. - For applicants applying for undergraduate programs, a high school or higher education certificate is required;
- For applicants applying for master's programs, a bachelor's or higher education certificate is required;
- For applicants applying for doctoral programs, a master's or higher education certificate is required. 4. For applicants applying for master's or doctoral programs, two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors must be provided, with the signatures of the recommenders. 5. Language proof: Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide an HSK4 certificate; applicants for English-taught programs must provide TOEFL or IELTS scores or other proof of English proficiency. If a degree was obtained using English as the teaching language, the original school's proof of English as the teaching language should be provided; if English is the native language, commonly used language, working language, or official language, language proficiency proof is not required. 6. No criminal record certificate: The applicant must submit a valid no criminal record certificate issued by the local public security authority, usually within six months from the date of application.
7. Foreigner's physical examination form: Missing items, no personal photo attached, no seal on the photo, or no signatures and stamps of the doctor and hospital.
