International Master Degree Program in Structural Engineering (in English)

Objective of the Program: Through the study of the M.S. degree, the students are able to gain fundamental understanding of the development of structural engineering discipline, and be capable of developing skills in structural analysis, experiment, engineering design and research, and solving practical problems. Study Requirements: Course study requirements: Total credits are not fewer than 28, in which 20 credits are from core courses，and more than 6 credits are from selective courses. Not less than 2 credits are from other compulsory activities. Thesis Requirement: Students should complete research proposal writing before the end of the second semester. The Master degree thesis and research work should be done according to the standards of The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the thesis defense should be passed finally. Compulsory Courses: Structural Dynamics or Elastic and Plastic Mechanics; Engineering Mathematics; Advanced Concrete Structural Theory; Advanced Theory of Steel Structures; Advances and Development of Structural Engineering Research; Professional English Degree to be awarded: The student who has fulfilled all the courses and thesis requirements will be awarded the Master Degree of Engineering of Tongji University.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7.  Copy of article or papers published 
Catalogue and abstract of published paper, and other documents that can prove academic ability, and special documents required by the target college.
