Chinese Courses

 Set up in the year 1978, Institute of Tourism, Beijing Union University is the first university that has a  Tourism Management in China. And besides Tourism Management, it also offers Chinese Language, Chinese Cousine, Tourism and Management. The school started to enroll international students were received from 1993, there are more than 200 international students are studying here now. You will be an eloquent tour guide in China.

Junior Level Chinese Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30-12:00 Major courses: Chinese phonetics, elementary intensive Chinese, methods of pronunciation, basic speaking and elementary listening comprehension. Middle level Chinese Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30-12:00 Major courses: middle intensive Chinese, reading, writing, speaking, grammar, tourism communication, middle level listening, and comprehension. Senior Level Chinese and Preparation for Professional Occupations Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30-12:00 Major courses: senior intensive Chinese, senior listening, general speaking, senior reading, grammar, writing Chinese, extensive reading, Chinese history and culture.

Accommodation

Beijing Union University International Student Residence is reserved for long-term and short-term international students studying at School of International Education of BUU. Two buildings are available for international students: Building C and Building D. There are 107 Standard Rooms with 208 beds. All rooms are designed and furnished at the standard of 3 or 4 star hotel. Besides, we also provide favorable price and high-standard service to our students. All rooms are equipped with air conditioner, television, telephone and private bathroom so as to provide reasonable comfort for the occupants and facilitate tidiness.

Diet

Beijing Union University has comprehensive dining halls that serve standard Chinese cafeteria food. The daily expense in the cafeterias is roughly around 20 RMB per day. Diners are required to buy food there with campus card.

Medical Care & Insurance

International students should pay medical bills at their own expense. The school infirmary services as an out-patient clinic where students with illness can go directly with student ID cards. Acute and serious illness can be treated in the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital about 2000 meters to the south of BUU.

According to the Interim Provisions about Foreign Students of Higher Education Purchasing Insurance issued by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China, all international students studying at BUU for more than 6 months should purchase the Comprehensive Insurance from Ping An Life Insurance Company of China. Rates are as follows: RMB 600 for 12-month insurance and RMB 300 for 6-month insurance.

2.Applicant whose age is under 18 needs to submit notarial deed of guardianship

1.Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.
2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.
3.Certificate/Diploma of highest education
The certificate should be in English or Chinese, if not，it should be translated into English or Chinese and be notarized
