About Beijing Foreign Studies University

International School of Business at Beijing Foreign Studies University was established to create a truly progressive business education program set on the basis of integrating an American business teaching model with a deep understanding of Asian cultures. Its campus, located in the capital of China, provides the perfect background for such a dynamic program, centering on Chinese businesses and their relationships with foreign countries.


 International School of Business offers students a most pertinent and unique combination of subjects, addressing contemporary Chinese business concerns, Chinese culture, Asian values and advanced Western and American business practice and management. Students are encouraged to develop themselves into responsible, ethical business leaders who solve contentious issues with a strong practical and theoretical grounding and cultural sensitivity. Accommodation

BFSU-Sol Bridge students enjoy the convenience of dormitories located on and nearby Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, a short walk away form classrooms and cafeterias. Our recently renovated dormitories are comfortable and clean. Students have the option of choosing among different styles and designs in accommodation and whether or not they prefer to share a room.



On-Campus Accommodation


Four dormitory buildings, located on the Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, are allocated for international students. They are the Guojiao Building on the east campus, the White Building, Building 6 and Building 7 on the west campus. All the rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, television set, telephone, desk and chair, bed and bedding. High-speed Internet Facilities and services are available in dormitory rooms and are provided at a nominal charge.

Off-Campus Accommodation

The off-campus dormitory is located a 15 minute walk from the BFSU-SolBridge campus. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, heater, telephone, Internet access, a balcony, bed and bedding, desk and chair. The dormitory complex also houses a cafeteria, convenience store and a bank. Transportation is very convenient and a bus to campus, or elsewhere, stops right outside the dormitory gates.

Entry Requirements

[Application Qualifications]

Applicants should:

1. have graduated from high school, and be 18 years old or above;

2. NOT have Chinese nationality under the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China and hold a valid ordinary passport;

3. be subject to the following additional regulations of BFSU based on Letter No.12 [2020] of the Ministry of Education if they are applying for bachelor’s programs:

1) according to the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, a person whose parent(s) is/are Chinese national(s) and has/have settled abroad, and who has acquired foreign nationality at birth shall not have Chinese nationality. These students, when applying for BFSU bachelor’s programs, should have held a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 6 years, and should have stayed in foreign country in the past 6 years (9 months in a year will be counted as one year and calculation of the duration of stay will be based on the border entry and exit stamps);

2) students who were residents in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan region before immigrating to a foreign country should be subject to the above regulations as well;

4. be physically and mentally healthy; meet the physical examination requirements for Chinese Visa and Residence Permit in China as well as the physical examination requirements for BFSU programs so as to ensure their study and life in China;

5. have no record of discipline violation, of public security punishment or of criminal conduct; be friendly to China and behave well; comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese customs.

Application Materials

Materials for online application should include, but not limited to the following: 

1. Certificate of identification 

1.1 Passport photo page The photo page should be taken form the ordinary passport. The expiration date of the passport should be later than April 1, 2022 for the spring semester enrollment, and later than October 1, 2022 for the fall semester enrollment; 

1.2 If the applicant is already in China, the current visa/residence permit and the latest entry stamp page must be uploaded; 

1.3 If the applicant was originally Chinese citizens who later acquired a foreign nationality, the following application materials are required: 1) Certificate of Naturalization; 2) Certificate of Cancellation of Chinese household registration; 3) Copy of border entry-exit stamp pages for the last 6 years, original documents should also be ready for review (for bachelor degree program applicants); 4) Certificate of foreign study/work experience for the last 6 years (for bachelor degree program applicants). 

1.4 Bachelor degree program applicants whose parent(s) is/are Chinese nationals and has/have settled abroad and who has acquired foreign nationality at birth should also submit the following documents: 1) The permanent residence certificate of their parent(s); 2) Copy of border entry-exit stamp pages for the last 6 years, original documents should also be ready for review (for bachelor degree program applicants); 3) Certificate of foreign study/work experience for the last 6 years (for bachelor degree program applicants).

4. Certificate of the highest academic diploma/degree

4.1 Fresh graduates can provide a certificate notifying the anticipated graduation, and submit the diploma/degree certificate after graduation; 

4.2 Students in overseas universities should provide a certificate of enrollment issued by the university; 

4.3 Students currently studying in Chinese universities should provide a transfer consent or informed consent issued by the current university. 

5. Student transcript record provided by the university awarding the highest academic diploma/degree. 

6. Proof of employment or proof of expected dismissal for applicants who are currently employed.
