International Business (Chinese Busiess Studies)

Located Beijing and founded in 1941, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is a key university directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China. It is the first institution specializing in foreign language studies. Among the more than 7,000 registered BFSU students, there are approximately 1,000 international students. To date, BFSU has established extensive academic partnerships with 320 universities and educational institutions in 65 countries and regions of the world. As the authority of foreign language teaching, BFSU will definitly prepare you a master of languages.

Objectives

The objective of this major is to offer students a business education specific to international applications; promote and encourage an international experience and provide ample opportunity to obtain critical international preparation through international courses in Business, Language and Economics.

The modern business environment is increasingly international in scope. Consequently, this all English International Business major in IBS of BFSU equips students with the key skills and knowledge essential for managing a business, both domestically and within an international context. Students will understand the development of international business, the challenges in managing international businesses and the different approaches to doing it. It is a current, relevant and interesting subject and will strongly appeal to students who are considering a career in international management.

BFSU-Sol Bridge students enjoy the convenience of dormitories located on and nearby Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, a short walk away form classrooms and cafeterias. Our recently renovated dormitories are comfortable and clean. Students have the option of choosing among different styles and designs in accommodation and whether or not they prefer to share a room.

On-Campus Accommodation

Four dormitory buildings, located on the Beijing Foreign Studies University campus, are allocated for international students. They are the Guojiao Building on the east campus, the White Building, Building 6 and Building 7 on the west campus. All the rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, television set, telephone, desk and chair, bed and bedding. High-speed Internet Facilities and services are available in dormitory rooms and are provided at a nominal charge.

Off-Campus Accommodation

The off-campus dormitory is located a 15 minute walk from the BFSU-SolBridge campus. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioner, heater, telephone, Internet access, a balcony, bed and bedding, desk and chair. The dormitory complex also houses a cafeteria, convenience store and a bank. Transportation is very convenient and a bus to campus, or elsewhere, stops right outside the dormitory gates.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. Completed recognized upper secondary or equivalent Year 12 studies to the required standard

2. Satisfied English language requirements. Undergraduate applicants who provide TOEFL scores of at least 79 Internet-based (IBT) or an IELTS overall band score of at least 6.0 or TOEIC scores of 750 will be considered for regular admission.

1. Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2. Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3. Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4. Academic transcript of high school

5. Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.

6. Personal Statement
