Short-term Summer Chinese Program(4 Weeks)

Every foreigner that has studied Chinese has heard the name “Beijing Language and Culture University.” This school’s fame comes from the fact that it is China’s only university specifically designed to teach foreigners Chinese language and culture. This school has more international students than any other institution in China.

Introducation

1. Application fee: RMB 600 / person or USD 100/person
2. Class hours: 8:00 am to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, 20 hours a week
3. Curriculum: Chinese language courses
4. BLCU will arrange a visit to the Great Wall and to a show, free of charge
5. There will be optional cultural courses opened in two programs, c.f. below. Tuition fee will be charged extra, and the minimum students number is 8. The optional courses will be conducted in the afternoon, and RMB 30 for one class hour.

Thanks to the continuous growth of China's economy, its comprehensive strength, and cooperation and exchange with the outside world, Chinese language has been put to wider use, thus creating an ever-increasing number of learners of both the Chinese language and Chinese culture. Therefore, as an established institution of teaching and researching Chinese language as a second/foreign language, we are faced with unprecedented opportunities. What we shall do is to fully display the superiority of the studies of Chinese as a second/foreign language, and to further strengthen the exchanges and co-operations with other institutions of higher education both at home and abroad.
