Xi'an International University (XAIU) is a private institution of higher education located in the heart of China's most historical city, Xi'an. Since its foundation in 1992, XAIU has become one of the largest private universities in China and a household name in progressive education.
XAIU offers state-of-the-art classrooms, spacious dormitories, and modernized libraries and sports fields to its 22,000 students. The university includes seven colleges, offering 37 major fields of study which cover management, economics, humanities, medicine, engineering, agriculture, and arts.
The student body at XAIU is made up of both Chinese students from around the country, as well as international students. XAIU International Center
Over the years, Xi'an International University has developed strong relationships with universities and colleges from around the world. XAIU has exchange programs with over 100 universities in countries such as the United States of America, Canada, France, Australia, Russia, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and others.
The International Center serves as the hub for all international students and exchange programs at XAIU. Every year the International Center welcomes over 500 foreign students and visitors and sends many of its own students abroad to continue their studies, in addition to developing a series of programs for international students which focuses on Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture and history.

XAIU always adheres to the featured path of internationalized education. As the initiator of the Association for Global Advancement of Universities and Colleges (AGAUC), XAIU attracts business elites and well-known scholars by hosting and participating in different international conferences and exchanges. XAIU is also the first private university to deliver international cooperation education and foreign student education in Shaanxi Province. It is cooperating with more than 100 universities around the world and has joint educational programs with America, France, Canada, UK, Korea, Japan, Europe etc., which greatly facilitates Chinese students to further their studies abroad.

The University started to recruit international students from 2002 and has educated over 2,000 international students, which are mainly Chinese language learning students for Chinese Language Level Tests) level HSK 1-6, and the increasing degree student recruitment numbers are ongoing.

The University offers English taught degree programs for international students: business, Chinese, Chinese culture, Management, International Economy and Trade, Cross-border E-commerce, Pharmacy and Nursing. The University also offers degree programs focused on language study in English, Russian, Japanese, French, Korean, Spanish and German.

As an internationalized, high level, comprehensive university, XAIU always emphasizes the communication and integration of different cultures. It has designed several cultural exchange programs from one week to sixteen weeks (one semester). For example, in cooperation with College of Lake County of America, both parties exchange students and academics each year for studying Chinese language and culture. Meanwhile, the University exchanges students with institutions in  many countries aiming at promoting cross cultural communication including Canada, Russia, Hungary, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, UK, Argentina, Finland, etc.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Age: between 18-50 years old;

Non Chinese citizens with a high school diploma or above and holding a valid foreign passport.

Can afford to study and live expenses in China

Score: GPA 2.5 or above (4.5 benchmark)

Language:

-Teaching in Chinese: Hold HSK Level 4 or above certificate

-English taught: IELTS 5, TOEFL iBT 60, TOEIC 450

2. Original copies of high school courses, transcripts, and notarized documents from the Chinese Embassy

3. Original high school graduation certificate and notarized document from the Chinese Embassy.

6. 8 photos (white background, passport size, taken within 3 months)

7. Electronic ID photo (JPG format, within 1M, white background, taken within 3 months)
