Strengthen the advantages and characteristics, and the overall level of disciplines and specialties has been improved. The university has 20 colleges (departments), with 2 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 9 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees and 16 categories authorized for master's professional degrees. It has 2 key disciplines with advantages in Guangdong Province, 4 key disciplines with characteristics, and 4 key construction disciplines for "filling, strengthening and upgrading". A total of 6 disciplines, namely engineering, materials science, environmental science/ecology, plant and animal science, Chemistry and agricultural science, have entered the top 1% of the ESI global ranking. Five disciplines, namely Veterinary medicine, Agriculture, Food Science and Engineering, Environmental Science and engineering, and Chemical Engineering, have been selected for the 2024 "Shanghairanking's Global Academic Rankings", while mathematics and optical engineering have entered the top 50% of the "2024 Shanghairanking's Best Chinese Academic Rankings". The university currently offers 60 undergraduate programs, covering ten major disciplines including science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, literature, law, education and art. Among them, there are 2 national characteristic programs, 5 national first-class program construction points, 14 provincial characteristic programs, 6 provincial key programs and 17 provincial first-class program construction points. From 2021 to 2023, the university has been ranked among the top 1000 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghairanking Consultancy for three consecutive years. In the 2024 Shanghairanking Consultancy China University Rankings (Main List), our university ranks 219th among all Chinese universities and 11th among universities in Guangdong Province.

Foshan University is located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, a historical and cultural city in Lingnan with a developed economy and rich cultural heritage. It is a full-time public ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It originated from Foshan Normal College and Foshan Branch of South China Agricultural College founded in 1958. It has a history of 67 years of running schools. It is a high-level university in Guangdong Province with the authority to confer doctoral degrees (a key discipline construction university). The school currently has three campuses: Xianxi, Jiangwan and Hebin, covering a total area of approximately 2,200 mu and a total construction area of about 750,000 square meters.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. Have a high school diploma or equivalent academic qualifications.

2 Be at least 18 years old (in special circumstances, it can be relaxed to 16 years old)

3 Good conduct and no criminal record

4. Good health (The health check-up form is attached)

5 Hold a valid non-Chinese passport

Those who meet all the above conditions at the same time are eligible to apply for our school.

1. Application Form: Fill in the "Application Form for International Students of Foshan University" online.

2 Passport: A scanned copy of a valid passport (including the information page, visa page, and entry and exit stamps).

3 Graduation certificate and transcript: A high school or equivalent graduation certificate/academic qualification certificate, along with the corresponding transcript. If the version is not in Chinese, a Chinese translation must be attached.

4. Physical examination report: The template for the physical examination report is attached.

5 Photo: One recent (within the last three months) electronic ID photo.

6. Transfer certificate: If you are already studying at another domestic university at the time of application, you need to provide a transfer certificate along with your transcript.

7. If necessary, additional necessary materials may be added.
