The Short-term Chinese Language Course (Program B) at Shanghai University Of Engineering Science is a 1 Semester long program for international students, taught in Chinese.

IntroductionIntroduction

As one of the higher education institutions, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) integrates and coordinates engineering, economics, management, art, design, and other disciplines. SUES is one of the first batches of pilot universities under the Outstanding Engineer Education and Training Program of Ministry of Education, the pioneer of Emerging Engineering Education and High-level Application-oriented Universities in Shanghai. Since 2017, SUES has been applying to be a doctoral degree-awarding institution in Shanghai.

ProgramAbout the Program

SUES is an engineering-based, economic management, art design and other multidisciplinary penetration of each other, undergraduate education-oriented, graduate education and higher vocational education coordinated development of ordinary institutions of higher learning. In 1985.SUES began to accept foreign students and became one of the first 200 institutions of the Ministry of Education to accept foreign students in 1993. With the internationalization of school education. more and more international students come to SUES to study Chinese. We sincerely welcome foreigners to come to our school and study Chinese.

Full-time Training Programs: Students may select programs and courses based on their levels and goals.

Program A: 3 times per week for language courses, once for HSK characters, once for Chinese culture

About Shanghai University Of Engineering Science

Shanghai University of Engineering Science was established in 1985, based on Mechanical and Electrical Branch of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Branch of Shanghai Institute of Chemical Technology (incorporated into Mechanical and Electrical Branch of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1984), and Branch of Shanghai Textile Institute of Technology (renamed as Branch of East China Textile Institute of Technology in 1980). In 2003, Shanghai Technician School (founded in 1951) was merged into Shanghai University of Engineering Science.

Accommodation

Songjiang Campus

International students of Songjiang Campus can live in the No.3 or No.4 Students Apartment. According to the rules, you should pay the fee by year. Every student must obey the rules of dormitory and may ask for help from their janitors.

Dormitory service：

1）China Telecom Broadband is available in each apartment. You could sign up for the service when the semester begins or go to the telecom business office yourself.

2）There are microwave and coin-operated washing machines on the first floor.

3）Opening hours of public bathroom facilities：06:30—08:00,10:00-15:00,16:00-22:45，Students can use bath equipment with campus card.



Changning Campus

Quad Rooms shared by four students are available on Changning Campus, which are equipped with public bathhouse, air-conditioners and broadband. When you register, you could apply to live on the campus. The office will arrange the accommodation according to your situation. The accommodation fee must be paid in one lump sum for a whole semester.

Dormitory service：

1）China Telecom Broadband is available in each apartment. You could sign up for the service when the semester begins or go to the telecom business office yourself.

2）Microwaves and refrigerators are available in the public area. There are coin-operated washing machines on the first floor. The public bathhouse is open from 10:00-22:00, you need to pay the fees with Campus card.



Accommodation extension and check out:

If you need to check-out in the middle of the semester, you need go to the office to deal with the  procedures and update your temporary residence permit.


 Kindly reminding： On campus living requires you classifying garbage strictly.
