1. The photocopy of passport(photo page and China visa page. Valid for more than one year);
2. One passport-size photo with a white background;
3. Diploma: Copy of Bachelor’s diploma and degree certificate (recent graduates can provide a “pre-
graduation certificate”, and submit Bachelor’s diploma and degree certificate upon admission).
4. Transcripts: academic transcripts of all courses of undergraduate study(recent graduates can provide
existing transcripts and resubmit all transcripts upon admission);
5. Language proficiency:
(1)Applicant for Chinese taught programs should provide the certificate of HSK level 5 or above (with
total score over 180 points).Students without HSK level 5 certificate can first apply for the preppie
program, and will directly be upgraded into master degree program after passing HSK level 5 with one
year’s Chinese language study.
(2) Applicant for English taught programs(whose native language or official language is not English)
must have English proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or above, or TOFEL(iBT) 68 or above, or obtain the proof
of bachelor degree taught in English or pass the university’s English language proficiency test and
doesn’t need to provide qualification about Chinese language ability.
6. Two letters of recommendation from experts in the applied field of study (must have the minimum
professional rank of Associate Professor or equivalent);
7. Physical Examination Materials: If applicant applies from abroad, he must submit the scanned
“Foreigner Physical Examination Form” within the validity period. If the applicant has already stayed in
China, he must submit the scanned “Certificate of Verification(For Physical Examination Record for
Foreigner or Overseas Chinese” (including the Physical Examination Report) within the validity period;
8. Proof of Economic Ability(proof of on-the-job income, bank deposits, or other proof of economic
ability);
9.A complete “Beijing Information Science&Technology University (BISTU) Form of Personal
Statement for Graduates” （ annex 1, including resume, academic research achievements, plan for
graduate education, goals for after graduation, etc.）, 1000-word maximum;
10. A complete “Beijing Information Science&Technology University (BISTU) Application Form for
International Students”(annex 2);
11. A complete “Beijing Information Science&Technology University (BISTU) Information Form for
International Students’ Family Members”(annex 3);
12. Copies of published articles or other awards.
