The Short term language training Program at Beijing Information of Science and Technology University is a 1 Semester long program for international students, taught in Chinese.

IntroductionIntroduction

With a history of 85 years dated back to 1937, BISTU has been always rooted in China and has been growing along with development of the country, development of national machinery industry and computer science.

ProgramAbout the Program

The student can choose a duration of study of 2-6 weeks and classes can be specially designed according to the requirements of the students.
Regular classes are taught from Monday to Friday morning(20 class hours per week). The afternoons feature cultural activities (Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, Chinese Kung Fu, paper-cutting and Chinese film appreciation, etc.) and practice of Chinese traditional culture activities. At the end of the program, students who pass the examination will receive a Certificate of Completion. It is highly welcomed to receive students for at least 10 each time.

Entry Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport.
2. In good physical and mental health, no criminal record.

Application Materials

1. The photocopy of passport(photo page and China visa page. Valid for more than one year);
2. One passport-size photo with a white background;
3. Diploma and transcripts: Copy of the final diploma and corresponding transcripts(Applicant for Preppie Program should provide high school graduation certificate and high school transcripts ).
4. Physical Examination Materials: If applicant applies from abroad, he must submit the scanned “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” within the validity period. If the applicant has already stayed in China, he must submit the scanned “Certificate of Verification(For Physical Examination Record for Foreigner or Overseas Chinese” (including the Physical Examination Report) within the validity period;
5. Proof of Economic Ability(only for Preppie Program applicant)
6. A complete“Beijing Information Science & Technology University (BISTU) Application Form for International Students”(Annex 1);
7. A complete “Beijing Information Science & Technology University (BISTU) Information Form for International Students’ Family Members”(Annex 2);

8. Applicant who is under 18, must provide the original copy of the notarized legal guardian form issued by Notary Public Office in Beijing and the scanned passports of parents.


Additional remarks: The application documents must be real and complete. Non-Chinese or English documents must provide notarized translations in Chinese or English. All the documents will NOT be refunded.
