Accommodation


1. On-campus dwelling

International students who need to live in campus will be allocated by the university according to their majors, campuses where they will take their lectures. Necessities include desk and storage locker, air-conditioning, hot water supply, campus wired and wireless network.

On-campus dwelling students should comply with the Regulations on Management of International Student Dormitories at Ningbo University of Technology. Violators will be treated in accordance with relevant articles.

(1) Accommodation fee and living expenses

Dwelling students must pay accommodation fee in a timely fashion.

Students who pay by academic year should pay the accommodation fee for the entire academic year.

①    ￥1200 RMB deposit is required before check-in. (Deposit will be returned with no item lost or damaged when check out)

(2) Laundry service

Self-service laundry rooms are provided at each campus, where washing machines and drying machines are available. ￥3.6 RMB/ time

On-campus dwelling international students can apply for opening campus network account with International student office:

2. Off-campus dwelling

International students who need to dwell off campus must submit the Application Form for Off-campus Dwelling and obtain the consent from the International College. Off-campus dwelling international students shall sign formal and legal lease contract with the owner. Within 24 hours after move-in, they must go to the local police station in the dwelling area for a residence registration. International students who change their off-campus dwelling places must go to International College for registration and apply for new residence registration within 24 hours after moving into new place. They must go to International College to have their contact information, such as address and mobile number recorded.

Off-campus dwelling international students can apply to China Telecom and China Netcom for network service.

ENROLL IN CHINA

Entry Requirements

(1) Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.
(2) Be a Bachelor degree or other equivalent diploma holder ; or a prospective diploma winner before July 2023 both in China and abroad.
(3) Have good academic results. No limitation on major, but science and engineering background is preferred.
(4) Have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 (equal or above 180).Exempt for those who have used Chinese as the language of instruction to obtain a degree from a Chinese university.
(5) Be under the age of 35

Application Materials

(1) <NBUT Application Form of International Students> （ written in Chinese orEnglish）
(2) Passport page and all visa pages (if have). The passport should be valid later than September 2023.
(3) Notarized certificate of bachelor degree. Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school.
(4) Academic transcripts. The transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office or students management department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.
(5) Language qualification certificates. Applicants should submit HSK level 4 or above report obtained in 2 years or proof of teaching in Chinese in the previous stage.
(6) A study plan proposal. A study plan written in Chinese or English shall be more than 1,000 words, including your academic background, your understanding of MEM and learning plan of master, targeted employment orientation after graduation,etc.
(7) Two recommendation letter. Two letters of recommendation (written only in Chinese or English) from professors or associate professors shall be submitted. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or the exchange between universities both in China and abroad.
(8) A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant). The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature ofthe attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.
(9) Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-criminal record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
