Automation

The university is a modern public university under the supervision of Shanghai Education Commission. Be strong in applied sciences as it may, SDJU is organized into ten Schools (electrical engineering; mechanical engineering; electronic and information engineering; business; foreign languages; materials science; art and design; Marxism; literature and science; and physical education), three Colleges (for product intelligence, continuing education, and advanced vocational technology, respectively), and one independent Institute (collaborative with Shanghai Electric). It has more than 1100 faculty members, some 12,900 full-time postgraduate, undergraduate and postsecondary students, and more than 1,800 adult education students.

Objectives of Study: This major aims to comprehensively cultivate students' various skills in terms of knowledge, ability, and quality, in order to master the basic theory, knowledge, and professional skills of automation, and engage in engineering design, technical development, system operation management, and maintenance work in manufacturingsystems, automation equipment, intelligent transportation, and other aspects of industrial automation.

Employment prospects: Graduates are widely distributed and work in automation technology for enterprises, research institutes, telecommunications, finance, commerce, and other units. They can also engage in installation, debugging, operation, maintenance, and technical management in intelligent manufacturing industry production control, and other fields.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. Non-Chinese citizens with good physical and mental health

2. Have certain economic capacity; No criminal record

3. Applicants who have one of the following circumstances must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years, and have resided abroad for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (before April 30 of the enrollment year) before submitting their application as an international student: （1）Born in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, and acquired foreign nationality （2）If bothparents (or one of them) are Chinese citizens and reside in a foreign country, the applicant himself/herself has foreign nationality from the time of birth.
