Urban Planning is a comprehensive discipline that is to study the future development and reasonable distribution of cities, comprehensive arranging and deploying all the urban projects and constructions, it is the blueprint of the urban development for certain period and the basis for construction and management of cities. Urban Planing program is aiming to develop engineering technological professionals who are capable at regional planning, overall planning, detailed planning, urban design, as well as architectural landscape design, decision-making consulting, real estate development, urban construction and management, etc..

3. Skills Profile

Students should have the ability in application of mathematics, natural sciences, engineering foundation and professional knowledge to solve complex engineering problems in civil engineering fields. Students of this program should acquire the knowledge and abilities as follows:

  • Solid foundation in theory and professional knowledge of the field of civil engineering;
  • Abilities in Chinese application;
  • Abilities in practicing and application in computer science;
  • Ability to understand, master and apply engineering management principles and economic decision-making methods in a multidisciplinary environment related to engineering and civil engineering.
