The aviation industry is a huge and diverse one, employing engineers across multiple disciplines. The aerospace engineering degree prepares you for a career in the industry by providing knowledge on how aircraft are designed, constructed, powered, used, and controlled for safe operation.
You will also develop skills in management, airworthiness and aviation regulations through a number of additional courses.
As an aerospace engineer, you will have career opportunities in the design and manufacture of civil and military aircraft or within the technical departments of airlines
The BEng Hons Aerospace Engineering course equips graduates with core scientific and engineering knowledge, practical laboratory skills, team working, problem solving and other transferable skills needed to pursue careers as professional aerospace engineers, and a diverse range of other career options in the aviation industry.
Graduates will have the status of a professional engineer. As a result of their international exposure, they will be in demand from a range of aerospace fields both locally and globally
The University has two buildings designated for international students, building 11 and building 18. All rooms are fully furnished and equipped with a telephone and computer point which enable students to make and receive telephone calls and access the University's data network from their bedrooms.
These are UNNC residences in which students are responsible for providing and cooking their own food. Kitchens or common rooms are provided in which students may prepare their own food, or meals may be bought from the University canteen or cafe on the campus.
Bed linen is provided, and will be changed twice a month free of charge. Students will need to supply their own kitchen utensils. All UNNC student houses are non-smoking, including student bedrooms.
An applicant should be at least 18 years of age on admission to the University. For the purposes of this regulation, the date of "admission" is defined as the first day of September in the relevant academic year.
This requirement may be waived for applicants who will be less than 18 years of age on admission, on an individual basis, provided that their parents or guardians have given their written agreement in advance to additional safeguards and requirements. These include acknowledging that the University will not act in "loco parentis."

There are three types of Nottingham global scholarships available.
The full scholarship awards the student an equivalent of 100% tuition fee of the first year of study.
The half scholarship awards the student an equivalent of 50% tuition fee of the first year of study.
The a quarter scholarship awards the student an equivalent of 25% tuition fee of the first year of study.
This scholarship is an entry based scholarship which means the awardee's tuition fee for the first year will be waived or it will be refunded if the full tuition fee was already paid.
