China University of Geosciences (CUG), established in 1952, is a national key university affiliated with the Ministry of Education. It is also listed in the National “211 Project” and the “Double First-class Plan”. CUG, featuring geosciences, is a comprehensive university that also offers a variety of degree programs in science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, education and arts.  Founded in 1952, China University of Geosciences (CUG) is a key university directly affiliated with the China Ministry of Education (MOE). CUG (Wuhan) campus, as the university’s headquarter, locate besides East Lake, which is a top natural scenic spot in Central China. Through 50 years of hard work, a complete educational system, with multi-channels and multi-levels, has already been formed in CUG (Wuhan), includes programs for bachelors, masters and doctorial degrees. The enrollment totals more than 23,600 students. Among them, Over 400 international students are pursuing their studies at CUG in 2009.

Courses in Geology, Geological resources and Engineering are listed as national first-level key disciplines. CUG is a multi-disciplinary university with Earth science as its key disciplinary field, supporting and illuminating courses in science, engineering, arts, management, economics, law, education and philosophy.

CUG is also a host institution for students awarded Chinese Government Scholarships and has recruited international students since the 1950s. China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) opens its door to the whole society and welcome young friends of the world to the university to study or exchange.

There are three kinds of International Students Apartment on CUFE campus available. The international students can choose to live in Expert Hotel, International Student Apartments and International Student Dormitory or rent apartment outside the campus. The students choosing in-campus accommodation shall make reservation one month before enrollment and shall pay the rent for the entire semester when checking-in at arrival.
 
According to the regulations and laws, those choosing to live outside the campus shall take his/ her passport and the householder’s residence booklet to process temporary residence registration at the local police station within 24 hours after moving into the apartment.
 
Every room in International Students Apartment is equipped with TV set, refrigerator, air conditioner, internet access and other facilities. Ours is a modern, safe environment with all transport and convenient close at hand.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Applicants should have a good school record and be in good health，the applicants for undergraduate degree should be below 30 years old.

1.Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number&expiration date and name included.

2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English. If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

HSK level 3
