IntroductionIntroduction

Founded in 1946 during the Liberation War, Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) went by Liaoji Military Region Health School in Taonan, Jilin Province. It moved to Jinzhou, Liaoning Province in 1949, and developed into Jinzhou Medical College in 1958. It was renamed as Liaoning Medical College in 2006 and Jinzhou Medical University in 2016. JZMU covers an area of 994,987.60 square meters.

JZMU is a provincial institution of higher education focusing on medicine with the running forms of General Higher Education, Continuing Education and International Education. There are 27 undergraduate programs in 6 primary disciplines, namely medicine, engineering, agriculture, science, management and education together with 8 A-level disciplines and 59 B-level disciplines postgraduate programs. JZMU aims to strengthen international exchange and cooperation by undertaking the responsibility to cultivate talents in the vision of globalization.

JZMU has 3 national-level talents, 1 winner of the National Famous Teacher Award, 4 members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Education Ministry, 1 national-level candidate of the New Century National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project, and 23 recipients of Special Government Allowances from the State Council. Besides, we also have 3 outstanding experts in Liaoning Province, 4 candidates of Liaoning Provincial Higher Education Climbing Scholars Support Program,16 winners of Liaoning Provincial Famous Teacher Award, and 6 provincial teaching teams.

About Jinzhou Medical University

Jinzhou Medical University (JZMU) has a strong faculty with 831 full-time teachers, among which 200 have senior professional titles and 289 have deputy senior professional titles. There are 385 teachers with doctoral degrees and 405 teachers with master degrees. The proportion of teachers with doctoral degrees accounts for 46% in all full-time teachers; the Student Teacher Ratio of JZMU is lower than 16:1.

Currently, 21 Ph.D. supervisors in clinical medicine are engaged and joint doctoral programs are implemented between JZMU and other high-profile universities, such as Jinan University, Suzhou University and Dalian Medical University.

Accommodation



Liaoning Medical University (LMU) is located in the province of Liaoning in the north-eastern part of China. It has three campuses: the main campus, the west campus and medical college. All the international students can live on campus.


Introductions 

International students are living in dormitories, which are especially designed for foreign students. Living in these dormitories is a great way to make friends from all over the world.


Each room is equipped with wardrobe, desk and chair. Each room has at least one big window. In addition, central heating is provided by a radiator in winter, and the rooms have individually controlled air conditioners for the summer heat. Moreover, every room has internet connection. 


There are two types of building, one is single room, and the other is double room. The single room has an independent washingroom, and the double room has a public washingroom.

For the regarding authority must make sure that there are at least two pages on the passport for the Chinese Embassy to stick the Visa paper and Immigration to stick the resident permit paper
