Founded in 1902, Guizhou University (GZU)is under the spponsorship of  Provincial Government of Guizhou and the  Ministry of Education (MOE)in China. This is English Medium program with the course duration of 5&1/2years including one year compulsory internship. The program will be conducted in six months semester basis. Therefore the total academic semesters will be nine excluding internship. The university mainly offers five and a half years courses of Clinical Medicine (MBBS) for foreign students, five years Anesthesia Science, and 4-year courses for the specialties of Public Administration, Nursing Science and the Science of Sports and Human Body. In Clinical Medicine, some students stream to certain specialized areas, such as Wound Surgery, Ocular & ENT Science, Ultrasonic Diagnosis, Imaging Diagnosis, the Science of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Public Administrations includes Hospital Management, Information Management, General Medical Market Management, Laws of Medical Affairs and Medical Insurances. The 3-year courses are for the specialties of Clinical Medicine, School Medicine, Maternity and Childcare, Nursing Science and Stomatology. The School of Continuing Education also offers the above courses for part-time students. It also possesses the right from World Health Organization and Ministry of Education, PR of China to enroll overseas students. At present, the number of students (both full-time and part-time) is about 10,000, coming from over 20 provinces and abroad..

Student should have passed intermediate level or 10+2 through science stream with biology/pre-medical subjects having 50% marks in aggregate or 50% in PCB/PCBE.
