Located in Chongqing, Chonqing Normal University is a full-time comprehensive institution of higher education under the leadership of Chongqing Municipal Government of P. R. China. It was designated as one of the first Chinese Language Educational Centers by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and is currently the only one in western China. CQNU attaches much importance to overseas students’ education and administration in a way of classified teaching and human-based management. CQNU took the lead in Chongqing to set up International College of Chinese Language and Culture, providing better education and administration for Chinese language training students. Fees: for the first two weeks is RMB 1600, and RMB 400 increment per each extra week of training.

1. Accommodation Fee (Chinese currency):
(1) Overseas students’ apartments on the main campus (with a bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen; equipped with TV set, air-conditioner, telephone, refrigerator, washing machine and internet interface): 800 RMB per month per person to live in one apartment or 400 RMB per person per month for two persons to share the apartment. (Fees for natural gas, electricity and water are not included).
For The Single Room:
700 RMB per month per person to live in one apartment with one bedroom.
550 RMB per month per person to live in for two persons to share the big apartment with two bedrooms.
500 RMB per month per person to live in for two persons to share the small apartment with two bedrooms.
For The Double Room:
400 RMB per month per person to live in for two persons to share the apartment with one bedroom.
300 RMB per month per person to live in for two persons to share the apartment with two bedrooms.
(2) Chinese students’ apartments on the new campus (with a bedroom and a bathroom, internet interface, 4 students share one apartment): 1,200 RMB per academic year per person.

(3) Special Explanation
For CNU scholarship students who must live in the international students apartment or Chinese student apartment.
Those who intend to live in on-campus apartments should reserve 40 days in advance. Overseas students are also allowed to live in off-campus apartments.
2. Fee for Meals
Students can have meals in the Dinning Halls for Chinese students. The students can also cook for themselves. On average, it costs about RMB 20-30 per person per day.
