Located in Chongqing, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is among the best four telecommunicationand informaiton universities in China. Physical Electronics is an inter-disciplinary of modern physics, electronics, optics, optoelectronics, quantum electronics and related technology, with its focus on the multidisciplinary integration in such fields as the electronic engineering and information science and technology. It is engaged in the basic and applied research in the field of photonics and fiber optic communications technologies and systems, MOEMS (MOEMS), as well as image sensor and processing. The discipline is equipped with a highly cooperative, aggressive, and competent faculty, and a rationally- structured academic echelon consisting of professors / researchers, associate professors and lecturers with strong research and teaching forces and active academic thinking. Relying on the key laboratory of optical fiber communications technology of the Ministry of Information Industry / Chongqing Municipality and excellent research conditions, it has undertaken a number of provincial and national research projects, and won a number of provincial science and technology awards; Nearly 100 papers are published in the domestic and foreign academic journals and on international academic conferences, including "IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology", "IEEE Photonics Technology Letters", "Chinese Optics Letters" and other domestic and international core journals.
