Located in Chongqing, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is among the best four telecommunicationand informaiton universities in China. It has established a good platform for scientific research. The discipline closely follows the needs of developments cars, motorcycles, instrument, automatic device in Chongqing by cooperating with Chang'an Automobile Group, Lifan Motor Group, Green Mountain, Hongyu, Cafu, Chongqing Automobile Research Institute, the four groups, shaped ABS, Set-automation, Taihu Lake science and technology enterprise and other research institutions and enterprises, works closely with the Konkuk University and Xian Wen University of South Korea, ARC Centre of Excellence in Autonomous Systems (CAS) / University of Technology, Sydney of Australia, and University of Essex in the United Kingdom for joint research. The discipline has opened up a field with its own characteristics and advantages, with influence both at home and abroad, and some researches are in the lead internationally. For example, as a core unit it has set up the international standard in the field of industrial automation development approved by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as China's first standard with independent intellectual property rights, that is , the "EPA System Structure and Communication Standards for Industrial Measurement and Control System" issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as PAS 62409, and listed as the 14th type of real-time Ethernet international standard IEC 61748-2 and the international standard IEC 61158 (revised). It's project "the Embedded System-Developing Platform and its Application for Automobile Electronic Control" has won the second position in Chongqing prize for scientific and technological progress.
