The BA Accounting programme involves the study of accounting, business, finance, and management. You will learn about accounting and finance within an organisational context, which will help you to understand how financial decisions are made. You will also acquire knowledge and skills in the preparation and interpretation of accounts, and develop an appreciation of the similarities and differences in practice between the UK and China. Graduates will be able to claim up to a nine-paper exemption from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK qualification, an eight-paper exemption from the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), UK qualification, a twelve-paper exemption from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK qualification, and a six-paper exemption from the Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, Australian qualification.

International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) is one of an elite group of institutions worldwide to be accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System）in 2016 and 2018 respectively. AACSB accreditation is a globally recognised standard for the highest quality in business education. Only five per cent of business schools worldwide have been awarded the accreditation. The EQUIS accreditation is a quality certification system for business schools set up by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). It has become the most global authoritive and select business school certification body in the world with its comprehensive and rigorous review process. IBSS becomes the youngest business school in the world to have received both EQUIS and AACSB accreditation. There are only less than 100 business schools that have received both AACSB and EQUIS accreditation. This is an important milestone in becoming a world class business school and highlights the strength and significant influence of IBSS at the international level.

We will book accommodation for you as soon as you have been given an unconditional offer and paid us a deposit of RMB10,000 (around USD1,500) to secure your place at the University. Where possible, we try to allocate students to their first choice. However, where this is not possible, an alternative offer will be made.

2-bedroom apartment accommodating two persons, with sitting room, kitchen (gas cooker, fridge and microwave oven), bathroom, shower, air conditioning, washing machine, colour TV, telephone and Internet access.

- Option C: Studio Apartment at Scholar's Garden

Daily rate: RMB 55 (around USD 8)
Monthly rate: RMB 1,650 (USD 248)
With kitchen (induction cooker, fridge and microwave oven), bathroom, shower, air-conditioning, telephone, Internet access, washing machine

The rates above mentioned are based on a 9-month contract.
The rates quoted above do not cover utility charges, such as electricity, water, telephone, wireless access and gas. The electricity rate is RMB0.56 per KWH and water rate RMB2.8 per ton.
Before check-in, you need to pay 3-month rent in advance and 1-month rent as deposit.
We will try to satisfy your first choice. However up to now, the apartments of Option D at MBA Apartments have all been rented out. You can only choose Option A, B or C.
A new building, which is currently under construction, will be completed at the end of 2011 to accommodate overseas students specifically.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Academic Requirements:
The University accepts a wide variety of school, college and foundation qualifications such as A-Level, AS-Level, IB and other equivalent overseas qualifications.
English Language Requirements:
All students must have acceptable English language qualifications to study at the University. Various English qualifications are acceptable including:
IELTS 5.5 for year 1 entry , or 6.5 for advanced standing; or
TOEFL 520 (paper-based), or 190 (computer-based) or 75 (iBT) for year 1 entry; or
TOEFL 570 (paper-based), or 230 (computer-based) or 88 (iBT) for advanced standing, or
XJTLU English test.

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

5.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.
