Summer Sessions of Chinese Learning Program

Jiangsu University, established in 1902, lies in the famous historical and cultural city of Zhenjiang. It features engineering and has the most famous English-medium MBBS courses in China. Engineering in Medical Technology (EMT), International Economy and Trade (IET), Agricultural Machinery and Engineering (AME) and BBA are also available in English. Besides, Jiangsu University has established friendly relationship with 27 universities and research institutions in America, Germany, Britain, France, Canada, Australia, and so on. On top of the above, Jiangsu University has always provided first-rate support services so that international students can enjoy a wonderful experience there. Introduction

We offer a Summer Chinese Program. This program aims at providing students with an excellent opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese while experiencing Chinese culture while living in China. The program covers 3 levels: Elementary level, Intermediate level, Advanced level. All the courses will be taught by experienced teachers, who are specialists with expertise in teaching Chinese to foreign students.

In addition to the regular language classes, interesting extracurricular activities will be arranged for students to enrich their cultural experience. These include weekly tours to historical and cultural sites in and around Zhenjiang, at the same time, you put your Chinese into real practice. If you want to know more about China, we will visit factories, countries and local residents. Our summer Chinese Program will make your summer vacation happy, colorful and enriched.

NOTE: 1. Meals on plane or at airport are self-supported; 2. Any irresistive events arose, such as natural disasters; delay or cancellation of air flights; delay of visa from the embassy, the former fixed route can be varied, fees occurred subsequently should be paid by participants themselves; 3. Room distribution should abide by the principle of same gender in the same room, two person share the same room, those who prefer to live alone should pay more.

Zhenjiang is a dynamic and beautiful city, shaped by over 3,000 years of myths, legends and profound history. Zhenjiang is a famous historical and cultural city, that is a top tourist destination in the Yangtze River delta region. Zhenjiang is known for offering a combination of "urban forests" and "grand river scenery" due to the surrounding mountains dotted with marvelous temples and pagodas, mighty rivers and bridges, and natural beauty.

History

In history, Zhenjiang was one of the origins of Wu culture, and produced a large number of celebrated scientists, literators and historians. Zhenjiang's culture has been very attractive for both Chinese and foreigners. Marco Polo, a famous Italian writer of The Travels of Marco Polo, studied Chinese culture and Chinese political systems in Zhenjiang many years. Pearl S. Buck, the famous American woman writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1938, spent her childhood, adolescence and youth in Zhenjiang, therefore, most of her works were stamped with the influence of local culture.

Food

Zhenjiang is also a great place for you to "taste Jiangsu". It's known throughout China and the world for its famous vinegar, and as the true home of "sweet and sour". Zhenjiang has a rich and diverse cuisine, and you will enjoy every delicious bite in the place where the British established a consulate.

   Not needed during application. But may required when applying for visa. 
4. Financial support statement
   Photocopy of the financial support statement with signature
5. Certificate/diploma of highest education
   Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
6. Academic transcript of highest education
   Transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization
