Three Months Diploma Program

The course for three months is an approach to Acupuncture and Moxibustion that is integrated providing a comprehensive professional training, with a fundamental appreciation of techniques of the therapeutic process, and combined with a firm grounding in knowledge and understanding for Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(80h); Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine 8h Yin-Yang and Five elements doctrines 16h Visceral theory 16h Qi, Blood, and Fluids 8h Meridians 16h Etiology and Pathology 8h Principles for disease prevention and treatment 8h.

Basic skills of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, 4 weeks (160h); Apparatuses and materials 16h Fourteen meridians 24h Mainly used acupoints 40h Basic skills 50h Other methods of therapy ( Massage, Cupping, Guasha, etc.) 30h

Clinical practice of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, 6 weeks (240h). Diseases or syndromes in internal medicine 16h Gynecological diseases 8h Diseases or syndromes in dermatology, surgery, and traumatology 8h Diseases of eyes, ears, nose, and throat 8h Emergency diseases and conditions 8h Clinic practice 192h.

MAIN fees: Tuition fee: 16000 RMB/3 month; (at least 10 students to start except for just clinical practice) Accommodation fee: 20 RMB/day/bed (D>90 days), 30 RMB/day/bed (30 days<D≤90 days) or 50 RMB/day/bed (D≤30 days) in standard double room with bathroom. ★D—days on campus.

Meals on plane or at airport are self-supported; Any irresistive events arose, such as natural disasters; delay or cancellation of air flights; delay of visa from the embassy, the former fixed route can be varied, fees occurred subsequently should be paid by participants themselves; Room distribution should abide by the principle of same gender in the same room, two person share the same room, those who prefer to live alone should pay more.

Marco Polo, a famous Italian writer of The Travels of Marco Polo, studied Chinese culture and Chinese political systems in Zhenjiang many years. Pearl S. Buck, the famous American woman writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1938, spent her childhood, adolescence and youth in Zhenjiang, therefore, most of her works were stamped with the influence of local culture.

Zhenjiang is also a great place for you to "taste Jiangsu". It's known throughout China and the world for its famous vinegar, and as the true home of "sweet and sour". Zhenjiang has a rich and diverse cuisine, and you will enjoy every delicious bite in the place where the British established a consulate.



Accommodation


Introductions 

Jiangsu University is located in Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province,and is generally consisted of four campuses: main campus of jiangsu university, MengXi campus, North campus and zhongshan campus. All the international students can live in campus.

You need not to book in advance, Because the school will arrange for you. Moreover, all the students can live in the double room. In the dorm room: there are furniture, telephone, air conditioning, internet, hot water, toilet, kitchen, public utilities and washing machines in the dormitory. The bedding should be bought and it cost 400RMB. There will be staff in charge of cleaning public area. 

Accommodation fee:
1.long-time accommodation: 4,300 to 4,900 per person per academic year (Double-room)
2.short-time accommodation:

30 CNY/bed/day
beyond 3 months 
20 CNY/bed/day


Following expenses are for first year only:
Deposit for Dormitory: 500 CNY
Bedding Items: 400 CNY (pillow, bed sheet, blanket, mattress etc.)
Physical Examination: 400 CNY (to be paid to Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau)

Annual Expenses from first year to last year:
Medical Insurance Fee: 600 CNY/ year (to be paid to the life insurance company)
Resident Permit: 400 CNY (to be paid to Public Security Bureau by candidate)
Books: Flexible, about 600 CNY/year
Living expenses: Approximately 1,000 CNY/month (Depends on your personal budget)
