Jiangsu University, established in 1902, lies in the famous historical and cultural city of Zhenjiang. It features engineering and has the most famous English-medium MBBS courses in China. Engineering in Medical Technology (EMT), International Economy and Trade (IET), Agricultural Machinery and Engineering (AME) and BBA are also available in English. There is one level of scholarship for you to apply according to your overall evaluation. Click the small picture to view the full-sized picture. How much do I have to pay to get my Scholarship? For the service fee, generally speaking, SICAS will only charge you 10% of the 4 or 3 years of total scholarship amount (there could be a bit difference according to the exact Type of Scholarship that you choose). However, in the beginning , only $300 to $400 need to be paid as a minimum service fee and $75 as application fee to the university at first. When SICAS help you successfully get the scholarship,then the price difference need to be paid. For example: If you get the Undergraduate C Level of Shandong Jiaotong University, The total cost will be: RMB 9000x 4years x 10% =RMB 3600 = USD 600. and since you have paid USD 400, then the price difference: USD 600 - USD 400 = USD 200 need to be paid. Scholarship Guaranteed ? Yes. -After you paid the Scholarship Service Fee as above table listed, SICAS will guarantee you the scholarship! Program Introduction

Chinese language and literature aims to foster professional and qualified Chinese tutors, teaching and research staff and other education staff who grasp solid knowledge and skills of Chinese language and literature basic theories. Secretary major aims to foster secretaries of foreign affairs for all kinds of enterprises and undertakings as well as researchers and official staffs in this field. 4 years and 198 credits to gain the Chinese literature bachelor degree.

Chinese language and literature is an important part of humanities and social sciences. The major has an excellent faculty, rigorous teaching attitudes and outstanding teaching research achievements. It also has leading modern teaching methods. The skill training system for students is complete and the target is clear, which has very close connections with Chinese teaching in middle school. Through four years study and training, the students can grasp solid teaching basic skills, and graduates will soon adapt to middle school Chinese teaching.

Teaching Objectives

The main objective is to cultivate the students with good human culture qualities, mastering the basic knowledge of Chinese language and literature and basic theory and basic skills, so as to be the teachers teaching and researching Chinese language and literature in schools above middle level, as well as to be the professionals in other relevant fields.

History


In history, Zhenjiang was one of the origins of Wu culture, and produced a large number of celebrated scientists, literators and historians. Zhenjiang's culture has been very attractive for both Chinese and foreigners. Marco Polo, a famous Italian writer of The Travels of Marco Polo, studied Chinese culture and Chinese political systems in Zhenjiang many years. Pearl S. Buck, the famous American woman writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1938, spent her childhood, adolescence and youth in Zhenjiang, therefore, most of her works were stamped with the influence of local culture.

 

Food

Zhenjiang is also a great place for you to "taste Jiangsu". It's known throughout China and the world for its famous vinegar, and as the true home of "sweet and sour". Zhenjiang has a rich and diverse cuisine, and you will enjoy every delicious bite in the place where the British established a consulate.



Accommodation


Introductions 

Jiangsu University is located in Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province,and is generally consisted of four campuses: main campus of jiangsu university, MengXi campus, North campus and zhongshan campus. All the international students can live in campus.

You need not to book in advance, Because the school will arrange for you. Moreover, all the students can live in the double room. In the dorm room: there are furniture, telephone, air conditioning, internet, hot water, toilet, kitchen, public utilities and washing machines in the dormitory. The bedding should be bought and it cost 400RMB. There will be staff in charge of cleaning public area. 

Accommodation fee:
1.long-time accommodation: 4,300 to 4,900 per person per academic year (Double-room)
2.short-time accommodation:

within 1 month
50 CNY/bed/day;
within 3 months
30 CNY/bed/day
beyond 3 months 
20 CNY/bed/day


Following expenses are for first year only:
Deposit for Dormitory: 500 CNY
Bedding Items: 400 CNY (pillow, bed sheet, blanket, mattress etc.)
Physical Examination: 400 CNY (to be paid to Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau)

Annual Expenses from first year to last year:
Medical Insurance Fee: 600 CNY/ year (to be paid to the life insurance company)
Resident Permit: 400 CNY (to be paid to Public Security Bureau by candidate)
Books: Flexible, about 600 CNY/year
Living expenses: Approximately 1,000 CNY/month (Depends on your personal budget)
