To meet the needs of foreign universities, educational institutions and other organizations, the courses are organized for groups of students (above 10). A flexible curriculum is offered, lasting from 2-10 weeks.

Generally the program consists of two parts: Campus Courses and Culture Trip. (1) Campus Courses:Basic Chinese, Speaking, Listening, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Chinese Kong Fu (including shadowboxing), Chinese Folk Musical Instruments, Chinese National Music, Songs, Dance and special lectures on Chinese Culture, Chinese History and the Business Environment in China (in English, Thai, or Vietnamese). (2) Culture Trip: Discover Yunnan Tour: Kunming – Dali – Lijiang – Shangri-la, travel on Yunnan highlands and explore pristine nature. Magnificent Yunnan Tour: Kunming –Dali - Baoshan–Tengchong, travel to hot springs, volcanoes and to travel across the Eastern Grand Canyon.Mysterious Yunnan Tour: Kunming –Simao –Xishuangbanna, travel to tropical rainforest and get an understanding of ethnic minority culture. Kunming Neighouring Suburbs Leisure Tour: Visit cultural and historical spots, view beautiful urban and rural scenery, and enjoy delicious Chinese food.The tour route can be modified upon the request of different groups.

In order to help students to familiarize themselves to life and study at KUST, we provide private tutors to help students with their life and study issues. KUST also encourages students to participate in extra-curriculum activities and provide opportunities for students to communicate with other Chinese students.

1. School of International Programs reserves all the rights in case of any changes of the above information.
2. KUST rewards a RMB 510 thousand Comprehensive Medical Insurance of Foreign Students in China to each of undergraduate foundation students, degree students, degree visiting students and language students who study 20 hours a week after they have paid tuition fee for at least one semester in lump sum payment.
