Wenzhou Medical University is a multidisciplinary university directly under the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province. The history of Wenzhou Medical University dates back to 1912. In recent years, Wenzhou Medical University has actively carried out international cooperation, established cooperative relations with more than 60 foreign colleges and universities or academic institutions, and enrolled more than 450 international students. At the same time, Western medicine has set up Confucius Institutes abroad to devote itself to the teaching of Chinese language and culture. MBBS taught in English is a popular course for international students.

Goal of Training According to the Chinese training goal for the undergraduate medical students ,and the international demands as well as the needs of the international students’ countries ,we shall educate and train them into qualified professionals ,who can do clinical ,teaching and research work in medical care institutions .

Wenzhou Medical University (WMU) is a key construction university of Zhejiang Province. It’s one of the largest and most robust schools for clinical medicine sciences in Zhejiang Province.

Wenzhou Medical University embraces internationalization in the course of its development. It has established partnerships with more than 80 universities and institutions all over the world, collaborating in scholar/student exchanges, joint education programs, joint research, etc. Two Confucius Institutes have been co-established with Burapha University in Thailand and SUNY College of Optometry respectively.
