Program Objective
The master program in
Special History in the field of History of Chinese Culture is designed for
international students or overseas Chinese who are interested in Chinese
culture. The program aims:

Credits and Certification
Thirty-six credits are
required, including six credits for dissertation. Qualified students will be granted
certificates of graduation and Master Degree of History in Special History in
the field of History of Chinese Culture.
Instruction Language
■ All the courses are delivered in English except some of Chinese language courses.
■ Dissertation is required to be written in English
Modern Facilities on Campus
Zhejiang Gong Shang University is consisted of two campuses: Xiasha Campus(now known as the Main Campus) and the Downtown Campus. The international students are mainly arranged in Xiasha Campus.
The campus are modern with a high standard of facilities. There are on-campus health services, dining halls, sports facilities, libraries and internet.
Xiasha Campus
The Xiasha Campus, the central campus of Zhejiang Gongshang University is located in the Xiasha District for Higher Educational Institutions in the northeastern part of Hangzhou City. The Xiasha Higher Educational District has fourteen universities and institutes ZGU's Xiasha campus with an area of 129.6 hectares is the largest one in the district. The campus borders the Qiantang River, the tide of which is a splendid and miraculous phenomenon, well-known in China.
The design of the campus well reflects ZGU's concept of human-centered education, the harmony between humans and the environment, and the idea of sustainable development. The campus is divided into four parts: classroom buildings, office buildings, sports facilities and residential areas. Located near the Qiantang River, ZGU's classroom buildings are designed in the shape of traditional Chinese ships, symbolizing that students are sailing on an ocean of knowledge. The Campus is well known for its unique architecture, modern equipment and beautiful environment.
Downtown Campus
The Downtown Campus, the cradle of ZGU, is located in the central part of Hangzhou city, 10 minutes drive from the famous West Lake. On this campus School of International Education provides international students with program of Chinese Language and Culture.
Living on Campus
ZGU provides on-campus accommodations for international students, fully furnished apartments, as well as cleaning service and on-campus dining hall. All apartments are equipped with air-conditioning, hot water, colour TV, refrigerator, internet and telephone. There is a public kitchen on each floor in the apartment building. Internet access is available on site.

Living off campus
If you don’t like to live on campus, you can choose to rent a room near your campus or join a local homestay family. Rent a House, apartment or flat.
The university allow foreign students to live off campus while you have to inform the university and get the permission from the university first before you make the arrangement.

Average Rents for off-campus living
Depending on different cities, here is the general rang of the price for renting:
One-bedroom apartment: RMB 800-2500 per month
Two-bedroom apartment: RMB 1000-4500 per month
